Dimash is always unbelievably amazing. “Stranger” was composed by Russian songwriter Igor Krutoy (who’s also the pianist), and the lyrics were written by American poetess Sharon Vaughn. The main arrangement was by Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan). Igor Krutoy said, “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” The solo instrument heard at the beginning is called a kobyz which is an ancient Kazakh instrument. The idea to add the kobyz to this song came to Dimash after he first heard the tune of “Stranger”. The singer realised that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exquisite sound. Dimash has always been anxious to popularise traditional Kazakh music. So, he really wanted the kobyz to be played on a big stage like Sochi’s New Wave Hall Dimash said, “We invited our talented friend Olzhas Qurmanbek to perform the kobyz in “Stranger”, because he is considered the best kobyz player, who managed to fully convey the emotions and character of the song. Thanks to him the song got its outstanding and unique sound. I’ve always dreamed of the kobyz to be heard in my foreign collaborations.”

PS: He can sing an entire Opera and perform each section himself - he's a singer, composer, arranger, director, producer,, professor, dancer, model - he writes much of what you hear - he has a 7 plus vocal range, perfect pitch - he showed just a few minutes of a piece that he is producing and arranging and watching him get the instrumentals worked out is remarkable - I would suggest that he has either total recall or a photographic memory ~

Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement. Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying, "it was Dimash's talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Dimash traverses almost 5 octaves (C2-F6) in this performance. That stunning last note is about 19.7 seconds in full mixed voice belt in F#5. He switches genres with such ease that every song is different and surprising. With most artists they stick to a genre and within a certain range and it all starts to sound the same after a while whereas with Dimash you never know what he's going to come up with next. I can't wait until he releases the piece he's just finished composing, it sounds epic just from the short flute section he's allowed us to see.

His magic doesn't fade, and there are many reasons. Of course, his voice. It's just so beautiful and emotional it shakes down to the core, doesn't let go. It is honestly addictive. Dimash is also so multifaceted as a person and artist. Endlessly fascinating. He doesn't stop surprising with his versatility, he keeps showing something fresh and new to his listeners. Like an explorer, he is always on search. Dimash has accomplished a lot, but still doesn't rest on his laurels. He continues to learn and practice, constantly evolving. Heeyyy! Thank you so much for reacting to Dimash! I have to say....you are one of my favorite reactors right now. I think the reason why is just how you really get the emotions Dimash sings with. I mean, you really feel it. Even if you don't know what's happening cognitively, you feel it in every nerve ending .... in the very core of your being. He has a way of not just touching your soul but communicating all these emotions and feelings directly there without any need of you understanding the language he's singing in. So don't worry about occasionally tearing up. It has happened to most of his dears. The tears and chills are that normal involuntary reaction many of us get when we feel that pure connection through his voice. It's true that the song itself is amazing in its arrangement. I think Dimash has a huge influence on that. First, because he knows best what he can do with his voice. Second, we've seen a few behind-the-scenes clips of him working on arrangements with the writer of this piece. You said Dimash is like the final boss of a video game. 😂 Kinda true! His stage presence is beyond amazing. He commands everything on that stage and the audience can look nowhere else. But the arrangement of the song is boss level too. And you'll see as you progress through his music how he's always building a story arc in his songs so he takes his listeners on a journey. By the end, you feel transported. Like he took you to another plane of existence for a while.... shockingly amazing every time. Absolutely right! There is no one like him! I wonder if there ever has been anyone like him. You will be like this with every song. I still am with every song. Every song is different. Every song hits you hard. He's just beyond amazing! You absolutely have barely seen anything yet. Enjoy your journey through his stuff. You really won't regret it. His music changes you for the better. It brings the world together. Literally crosses all man-determined barriers of language, country, ethnicity, culture, age, gender whatever .... That's because.... our souls are all the same no matter our differences...and he sings on that level. Opera 2 is a fun song! look forward to you doing it! This is possibly Dimashs greatest performance to date, it contains almost every masterful aspect of his talent, but not everything! 😘 I can't wait for you to start watching some of his incredible duets with some other amazingly gifted individuals, they're literally coming out the woodwork to be on a stage with Dimash. I like comparing Dimash to the great martial artist, Bruce Lee. Bruce was an enigma who developed his own style of martial arts. Like Bruce, Dimash has studied voice since he was five. He is great example of what someone with a good natural voice can accomplish with the right training and years and years of practice. Dimash is still exploring voice production in the area of Octavism which covers the basso register. He reminds one of Ivan Rebroff who was an internationally known operatic soprano-basso. He would sing in his big basso voice then break into perfect falsetto similar to Dimash. However, Dimash has taken his voice and music so much further. There are no doubt others like him but have not been discovered. Hopefully, Dimash will inspire other singers to follow him this magical world of music.

You give the BEST reactions!! Evreything is perfect about this video. My absolute favorite video of his. The second most amazing thing about this is his performance during it. You would think that his voice would be enough, but then he throws in the way he performs and you are just mesmerized by him. And let's talk about all of his stages...the way the ice turned into fire when he threw in his power. I swear I have an eargasm EVERY TIME. Thanks for your reaction...Cannot WAIT until you listen to Opera 2...and yes, PLEASE look for the one that says extended with English subtitles. Well, I just want to prepare you, Dimash does not use ALL HIS VOCAL POWER, he does NOT always use VOCAL FIREWORKS........He also sings songs without ever going up real high or real big with power and volume. I actually LOVE HIS QUIET SONGS TOO.....such as "IF I NEVER BREATH AGAIN". SO just letting you know because some reviewers get DISAPPOINTED when they first hear Dimash sing a song where he is not blowing the roof off!!!

Thank you for your great reaction to Dimash 👍. He is really a treasure. Not alone his voice, which is unbelievable. He also has an adorable character. He is humble, kind and always nice and patient with his Dears. A very emotional song is Daybreak from the Singer competition. Please react first to the version behind the song from the Gloria Wu channel and then to the Bastau version It tells a true, very sad story😢. In the Singer version he lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. He was so sick and had a severe sore throat. And the Bastau version is phenomenal. Maybe you can do both together. Some reactors do. You can clearly hear the difference. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. The other competitors knew that he was not well You can see how concerned the other competitors were. He made very good friends there. One even gave him expensive Chinese medicine.
