SWIMMING I lived in Kazakhstan with my folks and have friends that went to university with him. One freezing, blistery morning, one of them got up before dawn to meet a study partner, put on long underwear, sweaters, parka, wool scarves, sludged out into the dark and took a shortcut through the gym building, and there in the silent, cold, damp half dark pool a area was Dimash alone, procap on, sliding into the pool for laps. She said, I didn't disturb him, his face was in deep concentration, and said, swear to God Patty, I think I could see my breath it was so damn cold in there. We all know how disiplined he is, he's a perfectionist blah, blah, driven, blah blah, but shit, who does this !! The man is insane.. I think I love him...and we both burst into hysterics !!

what makes this so incredible is he sings it so great, and when you watch another concert with this song, it's also great, but a little bit different. Same with SOS, he sings that a bit different at every concert (I especially like the version at the Almaty concert). People think he lip syncs, because he's so perfect, but he doesn't. He sings all of them fantastic but still a bit different. If you have a chance you should watch the Almaty Concert (all 3 parts). If you don't want to do reactions on it that's up to you but at least watch it by yourself-it's fantastic. I haven't seen him live though I'd love to. As I'm writing this, he's doing a concert in Kazakhstan today and yesterday-wish I was there.

You know what's crazy? I thought this performance was lipsynced at first as well because of the way his mouth seems "off". But then I watched another version... and another and I realized something. This song required instant transition between closed mouth and wide open mouth in order to properly enunciate the words, MEANING he has to start the note a split second before or after making the lip movements on certain syllables but the rest are synced. It's simply BEYOND MASTERY. I've seen this literally HUNDREDS of times and I STILL can't wrap my brain around it.

Great reaction! Dimash was actually in London, back in 2018. I'm in the USA, and I only discovered Dimash 7 months ago and totally missed his NYC concert back in 2019 before the pandemic. Had I knew him, I would have totally gone to the concert in NY. It's on my bucket list to go to at least one Dimash concert to see and listen to him LIVE. Only love and respect for Dimash.

On December 5, 2019, Dimash Qudaiberg was awarded "Best Vocalist of Classical Music" with this Olimpico-Ogni Pietra song, competing against notable baritones, tenors and sopranos. Among them was great soprano "di coloratura" Anna Netrebko, who for three years in a row won this award. He also won a Special Award for "Discovery of the Year", the song especially written for his immeasurable voice by Igor Krutoy (check about this musician). All that at Russia's "Victoria" National Music Awards, which are considered the Russian equivalent of the Grammy Awards.

Beautiful rich deep resonant Baritone there - then flips into equally rich 'ManPrano'! Many other well trained Baritone singers can get up into parts of Counter Tenor - and some Tenors can get to whistle tone, but none can do Soprano. Dimash doesn't just reach up and hit those notes and slide away. He goes up there and 'lives' there - full and pitch perfect on the note and able to manipulate between straight tone and various types of vibrato. THAT is part of why he is so unique. And that is what is a brain strain for many vocal coaches - let alone the rest of us 'plebs' - who just go "Wow!" Yes - he has complete mastery over his instrument. That's what years of classical training can do. Of course it doesn't hurt to have a genetic 'leg up' - with both parents being professional singers. ( No doubt Dimash tuned his ear to perfect pitch in the womb! } 😆 Then he was up on stage with them since toddlerhood - so no stage fright - stage is his home. ( There's a cute clip somewhere where he's around 2 y/o and up there bowing with Ma & Pa to the audience } THEN you have to practice DAILY to preserve strengthen and extend your instrument (Vocal structures) + he swims as much as he can to expand his lung capacity. How else can he get to almost 30 seconds on the one note?! That's not being dropped off from some spaceship. That's heaps of ' bleep' ' bleep' HARD and continuous WORK! 👋👋👋

I was in Düsseldorf last Saturday, after two years of waiting.. It basically was all I had to look forward to, and Dimash did not disappoint ❤️ I have watched so many videos, but nothing could have prepared me for this voice live, filling an entire stadium. I just saw him in Dubai. I flew from U.K. to see him in Riga just before the pandemic and thought that would be my once only time to see Dimash as I am but my daughter recently moved to Dubai and saw Dimash would be performing his first concert for two years. So we got tickets and it was the most wonderful concert plus, I got to touch him, ha ha. He spent a good twenty mins at the end, shaking hands and singing ‘Screaming’ down from the stage! There were people there from Australia who came just to see him. I believe the people who attended the Düsseldorf concert had their tickets for the two years since the tour had been postponed until after the pandemic. They must have been absolutely ecstatic to finally get to see Dimash live. What devotion.

So. Lucky. I don’t usually like most live streams of concerts because the music usually drowns hi out unless he s just singing with the piano but no choice if I want to watch him . Düsseldorf was absolutely awesome I would have so loved to be been there. It seemed better than Dubai. When you are there does the music sound as bad a does on they live stream or is that just because they are only phone recordings. Doubt I will ever get to live concert

I visited both his recent concerts, Düsseldorf and Prague... an absolutely. out. of. this. world. experience. Heard OLIMPICO live - something I had always dreamed of - nearly was blown out of my seat. His voice when live & in full power mode is SO much stronger than in any video... incredible. Though Düsseldorf had lots of technical problems - they even had to interrupt for a short time - it loved it ... my FIRST Dimash concert! Maybe a lot of seats that stayed empty would have been taken by fans from Ukraine, Belarus & Russia.... who can hardly travel these days. Still, I liked Prague more - the venue somehow seemed more intimate & closer, I had a much better seat, and the love of the Dears was PHENOMENAL.... and Dimash was, too. Much more relaxed than in Germany. Unfortunately, there seem to be no new concerts scheduled - will follow him now almost everywhere. Wasn't there a single summer concert nearly every year in Nur-Sultan ?? Will have to keep an eye on flight tickets to Kazakhstan....

Meeeeeee! I saw him live - last Saturday in Düsseldorf, Germany, and yes, he also sang Olimpico. I assure you he sings like that LIVE. If you hurry up: he'll be in Prague this Saturday. Tickets stll available. If you freak out over this clip you will completely loose your mind in a concert. He sends you to far galaxies of joy. His Ave Maria was the most beautiful sound that ever blessed my ears. I cried - not only once - with overwhelming joy and happiness. And you won't believe how he interacts with the audience. Even HE was completely overwhelmed with the atmosphere, the harmony, the unity with his dears. This was the state of Nirvana!

@@GOTGames As I couldn't see Dimash on the stage at first, because he was sitting down out of view, I put my camera down and for once just listened to his voice. The atmosphere was dark and mysterious with blue swirling all around. I'd never heard him sing a melisma before and as I concentrated on his voice I was transported to another place. I lost sense of reality, a never to be forgotten moment.

So agree I absolutely love your enthusiasm and appreciation for Dimash. Definitely not boring. I hate opera, but Dimash makes it epic. I love the music arrangement for this too. Drums are awesome. I discovered Dimash about 8 months ago I cannot really listen to anyone else. I have others I like and will go listen to a couple but have to come straight back to Dimash. I need to watch him, not just listen because as you said, he just reaches out and draws me into his world where nothing else matters and stress and heartache and worries disappear. I have never in my 67 years loved someone like I love him. He just connects so deep with my heart and soul. Not just his perfect vocal and musical genius, but the person he is. To have a son love me the way he loves his mother would be the ultimate dream. I have listened to every music professional I can find to learn what it is that makes him so special and unique. He is a able do things with his voice that they say should not be possible, and do them perfectly. It’s not just natural talent it’s that he gives 100% of himself to music, training and practicing to a schedule his while life (since he was 5) that I doubt anyone else comes near. When he is creating he doesn’t sleep. His gift is not just his voice, but his whole concept of music, how to use it to reach peoples hart and soul, every instrument placed in a spot for a specific reason. His friend Erlan who he works with to do his music arrangements is also a genius and on Dimash’s wave length so they create something special. Then Igor Krutoy who wrote Olímpico especially for Dimash’s voice is another genius who recognized Dimash’s genius was in sync with his own so they create masterpieces. I have listened to every documentary, interview, conversation, whatever with Dimash and about him and the more I find out the more I am in awe of this amazing young man. I will never get to see him in the flesh, talk to him, hear him live, and he will never know I exist, but no one ever has affected my life as much as he has. I stumbled on him quite by accident, don’t even know how, one minute watching ice dancing videos, the next minute totally Dimashified, no idea how I got to SOS on SINGER 2017 I spend every free minute with Dimash, don’t watch tv or movies, just Dimash and I never get bored. You have so much more to discover 💕

There is not such thing as "Best Performance" with Dimash. There are too many Great, Magnificent, Extraordinary, Astonishing, Overwhelming... Performances to be able to choose one of them. With Dimash there is not How!?, it's simply always Wowwwww!!!!!!!??!!!!!

Such a soul felt reaction...and exactly how I felt too first time I watched and listened to this. Dimash is beyond mortal descriptors, he really is. He deserves to be heard everywhere - we need to get music programs on TV and radio everywhere to take notice and mention him, play him, feature him - he is the voice the world needs to hear. He is the GOAT as far as I am concerned. I was 5 when the Beatles burst onto the music scene, and changed the music world. I grew up listening to them, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Pavarotti etc etc....became a rock fan - adore Springsteen - thought I'd heard all the 'greats'...until I heard DQ - like you, he has spoiled me...no one...NO ONE holds a flicker of a candle to Dimash. They try to mimic him, debunk, demystify or topple him....all to no avail. There is no competition. Jealousy is futile. Dimash has no genre. No box in which he fits. Fun fact: Dimash was asked how he was feeling before this concert and for once said ‘I am really nervous because my vocal coach is in the audience’!!! (vocal coach is Marat Aitimov - another genius]. This song (written especially for Dimash by Igor Krutoy) won him the most prestigious award for classical music in Russia - Igor says that there is no-one else who can sing it! Also, I am in Prague as I write this to you and am going to hear Dimash in concert tomorrow (I’ve been waiting over 2 years!) but said that I would pay any money & travel any distance to hear him sing this song live at the time of booking - since then he has added Stranger, Ave Maria & Quaran Elim - I am in for a mega treat 🤣😂💕 as he sings them all!! I totally agree with you. I was so lucky to see him live last Saturday in Germany! And yes he really sings that way live! Olimpico was the first song with standing ovations and then they came many many more... It was an incredible and unforgetable experience to watch this concert. The best concert I´ve ever witnessed with a wonderful atmosphere. I also am a Dear forever. There is no singer, who arouses such emotions in me. The time went by much too fast, although the concert was 3 hours long. Dimash has such an extraordinary energy and stamina and charisma. If you have the chance to see him live - do it! I was last saturday - 9th april, in Dusseldorf at the ISS DOME Arena, to attend his 1st solo concert in Germany. It was beyond amazing. It was an out of this world experience. If you want, you can still go and see him at the concert in Prague, next Saturday 16th of April. :) Greetings from Portugal.

I attended Dimash concert in Dusseldorf last Saturday and it was one of the most powerful experience in all my life. He sang Olimpico and as expected is was mind-blowing. Like his other songs: Know (my absolute favorite Dimash's song) Stranger, Ave Maria, Love of tired swans, SOS, and all others. He is the ultimate performer: not only the best singer of our era but an incredible stage presence. He is beyond words. And I wish you the opportunity to see him live: let's hope he will come back soon in Europe!

Same reaction all of us had the first time we saw this song and performance. Wait 'til you see the version he did for his 2021 digital concert! An elderly lady from my small town of 8,000 became so enchanted with Dimash after I shared a video of him on a neighborhood communication site that she has just flown from Seattle to Europe to see him in concert in Prague on Saturday night. I've never been so envious of anyone at any time in my life!
