You definitely seem to understand that the 70s produced the best music. 👍

God damn i didn't remember that mesmerizing bridge, sounds like Tribe Called Quest or something the Neptunes would do.

Off the top of my head...ATCQ - "Footprints", Main Source - "Looking At The Front Door", and J Dilla - "Think Twice" sampled this track...Dilla's version was more of a remake though.

Musically, acoustically, and instrumentally; it's Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds....need I say more.....great song with great musicians....
@MrNewktrane2 жыл бұрын
Great musicians for sure. But the Blackbyrds are not on this album nor the previous 4 Mizell Bros. produced albums by Dr. Byrd. The Blackbyrds - who were students of Dr. Byrd & performed live with him during this time. He helped get the group their recording deal with Fantasy Records.

@Just Jammin, Donald Byrd is solely responsible for ushering a new era of Jazz to the masses. He was called a sellout to the Jazz purists but his kind of music was labeled Acid Jazz. In any event Donald Byrd was cold, check out his songs "Wind Parade", "Spaces and Places" and make sure you have the lyrics to the songs to assist you.
