If you haven't done the 1968 come back videos, I would love to watch you do If I Can Dream and challenge you not to cry. You will lose lol. I watched it so many times that I should be tired of it but it won't happen. I love Elvis and all he stood for. I cried for days when he died. I watch David Phelps ALMOST as much as I do Elvis. He sings some Elvis too. If you ever watch his video doing Elvis please read what he pinned first. There will be a new respect.

"I've never been this happy in my life" You truly get it and now understand the power of elvis. I'm a 47-year-old guy who has been infatuated with his entire life my entire life. It's sad that most people think he just sang hound dog then had a miserable life of drugs and then died. Very common misconception. He was an incredible talent and lived an insane and generous life. Every celebrity who ever met him said he was the most incredible looking human being they had ever met and a lot of them even said you could have your back to the door and when he entered and you coud physically feel his presence. There is so much more you have to see! Check out the song If I Can Dream from the 68 Comeback special.

Yes, Sweet Inspirations, the male quartet is The Imperials and Soprano is Millie Kirkham. Great climax to this song. Elvis knew how to wring the emotion out and how to end a song x he has his rhythm musicians plus Joe Guercio and his orchestra. All live instruments!, in those days there were no in ear monitors or technology to make the artist sound better. Love how u appreciate every detail ❤

Seph, you had the same reaction that many of us had when we saw Elvis live in concert. I will NEVER forget going to see Elvis for the first time---when the entrance music began playing and he burst out on the stage everyone was crying even before he began to sing. Elvis affects people for many reasons, but I think God was showing off His glory when He created Elvis. Elvis always said that he believed his voice was a gift from God and never stopped improving on that gift. I actually believe his last filmed concert, which was in 1977, when he was struggling with many undiagnosable health problems, (you should read the book by Sally Hodel, Elvis, Destined to Die Young, she explains why Elvis aged so quickly between 1973-1977 and it was because of genetic issues. Some due to the fact that his maternal grandparents were first cousins) he sang some of his most powerful songs--Hurt, How Great Thou Art, and Unchained Melody (he plays the piano himself on this one). I wondered if someone was going to suggest Bridge Over Troubled Water because it really is such a beautiful arrangement of the song. Paul Simon , who wrote the song, said he didn't know how he would compete with Elvis after he heard him sing the song. However, you are in store for MANY, MANY more tear-provoking performances. I actually don't think this is his best 1970's performance--there are SO MANY!!! Also, Elvis directed his musicians on every song. He knew every drum beat, trumpet blast, and note. Eventually, you will see the rehearsal segment where Elvis is actually directing the backup singers as to when to come in and how he wants them to sing certain phrases. He was an amazing producer. It is the Sweet Inspirations singing with him. He still has the backup guys, too. I believe JD Sumner and the Imperials. And just wait til you see the unplugged session during the 1968 Comeback special. Thank you for your sincere and emotional reaction. What a gift music is to us, especially through Elvis.

I grew up in Florida and this was one of Elvis’s favorite places to come and perform. My mom saw him when he was just starting out in 1956 in St Petersburg. My dad was actually a bigger fan than my mom. He took me to see him first in 1974 and then again in 1976. We waited in line for hours for tickets in 1976, and when we were almost at the box office they said the show was sold out. You should have seen the crying-I mean people were sobbing. Then the next thing we hear over the loud speaker is Elvis has agreed to add a show--we were at the front of the line and were able to get near front row tickets. Elvis came out to the 2001 Space Odyssey. He burst on the stage in a white jumpsuit and cape. I thought the show was wonderful! He seemed happy and totally with it-joking around with the audience and singing great. When he came toward our side of the stage I almost got trampled by girls rushing the stage-that was a bit scary. The women/girls really lost their minds-so focused on Elvis they didn’t notice anyone else around them. He brought up the lights at one point during the show so that he could see all of us out in the audience-he sang a short song about it being good to see us-I can’t remember the name right now. It was a memorable night-and I am so thankful to have seen him live.

About that suit, it was a Vegas invention. Elvis wanted to be seen on stage. He took advice from none other than Liberace on how to sustain an act in Vegas. Was it over the top? Absolutely, but It was Elvis so it was cool. And if you don’t know who Liberace was, look it up. He was amazing in a totally different way than Elvis but they adored one another. They had a lot in common, including having an identical twin who died at birth. Great reaction. Elvis touches souls. Sometimes it really doesn’t seem like he could have been human.

Elvis in person is mesmerizing. I’m glad you are seeing the evolution of his career. While Elvis was doing movies he wasn’t allowed to do live performances. He missed being in front of audiences and when his contract in Hollywood was terminated he needed something big to boost his career. That’s when he did the 1968 Special. It was a master piece in its production. Every song from the jam session reflected Elvis the great entertainer. Very natural, relaxed, down to earth, beautiful and funny. You are missing almost all of his live songs, his rehearsals, specials and interviews with his musicians and people who lived with him. I have my own list with almost 300 Elvis videos.

More than that it was because of her videos about Graceland that made me fall in love with not just Elvis, but his home too: youtube.com/@ashleysadventures Scroll through when you have the time. She does amazing research. Too she's really into doing short videos right now. Most Elvis fans know of her channel. But just in case you don't, well I thought why not? His lungs were damaged from alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, which was inherited. I read that all the males (and his mother) all died in their 40's and early 50's. I'm sure that bloating toward the end was caused by that disease. It affects the lungs and liver. He was very, very sick that last concert. You could tell he was struggling to breathe. One concert I saw he had to call for the spotlight to be turned off because it was so painful to his eyes from his glaucoma. He never disappointed his fans and that, in itself, is amazing with all he was dealing with. He was in pain, he couldn't sleep, he had digestive issues (megacolon). Yet, he touched us all.

Saw some Elvis fans sharing this video around, and I am crying along with you! Elvis wanted an overwhelming sound for his live shows, every instrument and voice perfectly calibrated to match the emotion of each song. And his voice still cuts through it all and overwhelms you with emotional power. I can't imagine the pride you must feel after spending so much time with him in his early career. He never stopped getting better and making people happy. I can't imagine what it must have been like to see him in person. I've heard people say his voice rang through your bones.

Elvis did sing this (and others from 1970) live in the Main Show Room of the Las Vegas International Hotel. Elvis sold out 636 live performances in Las Vegas between 1969- 1976 (his last show at the Las Vegas Hilton was in December 1976). More than that, on July 31, 1969 Elvis sold out 58 consecutive shows at the then Las Vegas International Hotel which broke Las Vegas attendance records. Emilio Muscelli, who was the maitre'd at the Las Vegas hotel where Elvis gave his performances, said that at that time the main show room's capacity was 1,150 but because Elvis drew in so many they often managed to stuff in upwards of 2,000 people. Standing room only and extra seating at tables that people most likely had to share with strangers. Elvis also did tours around America starting in 1970. So he not only had the Las Vegas shows he had to give per his contractual agreement but he also did tours. This performance, Seph, was live. Yes, it was. This was a live performance filmed for Elvis's very first documentary film "That's The Way It Is". Elvis not only went down in history as one of the highest paid actors of his time but also as one of the highest paid performers in Las Vegas history as well. It's hard to encapsulate just in how many ways Elvis impacted an entire generation, not only with his voice and his music but also with his philanthropy and, yes, even his fashion sense. It's a slow dawning. The realization of Elvis is like a wrecking ball coming at you in slow motion. Yes, Elvis got better. He was reaching for something. He was always reaching I think. He once said to Ray Walker of The Jordanaires, "If I have this same voice at forty I'm gonna sound silly." Elvis said that at around age 22. He was always trying to better himself vocally. Some do say that this is Elvis's pinnacle. I don't think so. In 1974, Elvis's voice gained even more depth and even more power, believe it or not. I listened to an audio only clip of Elvis performing "I Can't Stop Loving You" and my God, the power, the sheer power and command of his voice. Anyway, I've rambled on enough, I think, Seph. Leon gave you everything else you need to know so I'm just filling in some, haha! As I've said, I cannot WAIT until you get to 1968. However, 🎶I Beg Of You🎶 please stick to what you are doing. There are some worthy songs between 1962- 1970. In my humble opinion, anyway, Seph. This was SUCH a beautiful reaction, Seph 🎼💖🎼💖🎼💖🎼💖🎼💖 So beautiful & so moving & so heartfelt & sincere & honest & just... Seph, I think I love you. No, really, truly, you are so amazing & I love how open you are, awww.... I love how you grabbed the blanket to wipe your face... You seem like such a genuinely adorable person 😊🌻💛 Hugs, Seph 💞💗💞 & Hats off 🎩 to you, all the roses 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 & all the 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫 & of course all the 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 Thank you, thank you, thank you SO MUCH for your BEAUTIFUL & AWESOME & SWEET REACTION! Good music never dies ⚡❤🎶🎤🎶🌲🌈✌🙏💕 P.S. Say hi to your Dad for me, Seph. I've a feeling he'll be watching this one & not blaming you a bit for getting teary- eyed. P.P.S. I forgot to say that, yes, Seph, you are most definitely in 🎶Trouble🎶 Elvis was the first singer to make me cry, and I mean ugly cry, like just sob until my throat hurt and my lungs burned and I looked like the human version of Niagara Falls, I was leaking tears and (yes, I gotta say this) snot. Not to be gross or anything, but yeah. You'll need the Kleenex in future here, just sayin'.

@@belinda35_77 Aw, thank you so much, Miss Belinda🍃💖💖 Yes, through my researching Elvis and learning more and more about him and listening to all these different live recordings and studio outtakes two things stand out most of all for me: 1: I am absolutely convinced Elvis just loved music, period. 2: Elvis once said to someone who asked him, "How do you do it?" Elvis replied, "Everyone has something inside of them that can relate to any song. It's just a matter of reaching down and pulling it out of yourself." So, yes, I do think Elvis was like that. He loved songs that could pull emotions out of himself and others. I truly believe that, whole- heartedly. Too I think if Elvis had been able to be an independent artist like so many are now (with YT and social media and all that) his musical instincts would have been solidified as on point. Elvis had great musical instinct. I believe that too, whole- heartedly. I know he passed on when he was meant to. But there are times when I find myself thinking what a great music producer he would have been. He would have probably gone full gospel at some point. My humble opinion only 💐 You are very kind & very sweet, Miss Belinda🍃 Thank you so much on e again 💖 & TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours 💕

The only way i can describe how i'm feeling right now is:: I have been living in the stone age for a years. and my best friend goes into his cave wearing animal skinds and comes out 5 minutes later, wearing a suit and driving a Ferrari..... This was far far far too much of a leap for me and i sorely regret it in a way. But love that i've seen what he turns into... Sorry Sammy for this :'( Nearly didnt post this comment either....

I'll be brief but I cannot watch this and not share how this song helped me through my greif latley. I Lost my son five years ago, he was stillborn, my sweet little boy would have been 5 on March 22nd. Anyway greif really hit me hard this year in March I felt like I was in a rut , I felt numb and far away and from my daughters and husband and swimming through jello with the world spinning too fast and didn't realize why until my mother inlaw reminded me it was close to my son's birthday. I couldn't get anything out I was just like stone I knew I needed to cry, scream, yell or something but it just wouldn't get out of me or I wouldn't let it get out of me my defenceman mechanism is to shut down so one night of not bring able to sleep, pray or find solace I got up when my husband and girls were asleep and I started looking up Elvis videos because I started really appreciating him again and really, really listening to his songs after my neice made me watch the Elvis movie I couldn't stop looking up his videos, anyway I never saw him sing this live, I've heard him sing it from a studio recording and also the Simon and Garfunkel version thst was the original but Holy Wow his voice reached into my heart and ripped it out in a good way and I just sobbed and sobbed and sobbed and I felt Godjust holding me in his arms telling me he is my bridge over troubled water anyway it was a beautuful sacred moment of being able to greive and know it was okay because we all have a bridge over troubled water when we feel at out most vulnerable alone and scared. I don't care how imperfect a person Elvis was he was an angel on earth, his heart was perfect he may not have been perfect but his heart was and you really feel it in this song he is like a big brother saying to all if us hey you're not alone and boy do you feel it. Seph this video was beautiful I cried right along with you, never feel bad for being emotional! Watching him live along with his voice is everything because you see the emotion in his face, actually his whole being and it come through him and into your soul. Sorry I wasn't brief but I has to share what Elvis has been for me the kast fews months I've always loved him but now I'm in love with him! I don't mind if you get emotional❤

68 comeback will def take your breath!💥💥💥 My mother raised us watching Elvis every chance possible. The only time we could stay up and watch the late show on a school night was when Elvis was on. My family still talks about how, as a teenager, I cried and cried for days when he passed. There will never be another!❤️

@@vicki33161 Amen. I was 18 when he passed. It’s one of those moments I remember exactly where I was when I got the news. It was shocking and so sad.

Aww Seph you've got me crying!!! Dude this is the BEST reaction I've ever seen of Elvis!! And how spot on you are!! THIS is a glorious song, Elvis does it magnificently!! *"American Trilogy: Live from Hawaii"* has the same effect on me. That's in 1973, when Elvis was just as GORGEOUS as he is here!! Hey Seph, skip around to some other later Elvis tunes, it'll be fun!! God bless ya!!❤❤

This is the first time I have seen a reactor cry for real, many reactors vipe non existing tears away to show how much they are into a song, but they are almost always fake, yours are not.

It's very sad when people have to fake a reaction. Why not just be true? If you like a song say you like it, If you hate a song say you hate it.. Why lie? I dont think i'll ever understand :/

Your reaction was perfect! I've heard that countless times since the 70s and still get moved. Anyone that hears that and isn't moved isn't really listening. Thank you for an authentic reaction.

@@SephPlays I think that is genius and fantastic. What a concept. Too simple but totally original. Many songs to comb through and enjoy. I have been a fan since 1964 at age 2 and never stopped. Lucky to see him in concert once in 1976. Never the same again, I got 8 feet from him, we locked eyes and he smiled at me. I was 15 years old.
