Elvis learned to sing in 5 different languages. I don't believe he really spoke the languages. He just learned to sing songs in different languages. If you like Elvis, all of his movies are worth a watch.

He was born in Tupelo Mississippi until he was 14 years then they moved to Memphis Tennessee.

I'm 63 and have loved Elvis since I was a little girl. Thanks so much for your reaction. The "Hawaiian Wedding Song" and "Can't Help Falling in Love" from the film Blue Hawaii are two of my favorites.

Movie is un in Acapulco. In GI Blues he sang several songs in Germany. In Viva Las Vegas he sang a beautiful song in Italian. He could read the l yrics ina foreign language and remember them to sing them. he had a photographic memory for music scores and lyrics.

My grandma was mexican from Guadalajara. She loved to hear this song but Elvis is only " white" boy she loved to hear sing it. When she and I made a trip to Mexico we visited Acapulco and went to this hotel to see the cliff divers. Watch the movie Acapulco.

I have this 1963 movie "Fun In Acapulco" & have watched it many times. It is a little controversial as it deals with bull fighting. But I really like the music in this one. Some of the songs are "Bossa Nova Baby", "No Room To Rhumba In A Sports Car", "Marguerita", "Guadalajara" etc. Elvis sang in a few different languages such as German & Spanish in some of his movies.

Elvis was a phenomenon. That is why he is in 23 Halls of Fame. He sang in German in "GI Blues", Hawaiian in "Blue Hawaii", Chinese in "Girls,Girls Girls", Spanish in "Fun in Acapulco", Italian in "Viva Las Vegas". He sang all genres of music and could even yodel.😁 Thank you so much for this reaction. You are one of the best. @@sallycook From what I read as far as Elvis, he’s in 5 Hall of Fame’s. Rock ‘n’ Roll, Country, Gospel, Rockabilly, and R&B. Whether there are more for music as far as Halls of Fame for music I didn’t see, I couldn’t find the exact number of how many there are due to a lot of other Hall of Fame’s ie.. football, baseball and so forth. Hope this helps, I used google.

And to think he did this song in 3 takes I think lol GI Blues he sang Wooden Heart part of it in German then he has a song called Santa Lucía that he sings all in Italian. Elvis was very versatile I don’t think a lot of people know that about him. TCB⚡️

It's a typical clip from one 35 EP movies (this one "FUN IN ACAPULCO ") Exterior was filmed in Acapulco 1/ 1963 when he was 28 years old.

While Elvis may have learned this song phonetically, he still makes it sound damn good. English, Spanish, German, Chinese, Italian - he was willing to get out there and make it work seamlessly! EP hired someone to teach him this song and wouldn't let the tutor leave until he was sure he had it memorized and the pronunciation all correct. Movie or no movie, concert or no concert, EP always gave it his all, even when he hated what he was doing - and all because he didn't want to disappoint his fans. I don't think there were or are many other artists who would do that

Your first reaction when he started singing Spanish was priceless!! Great to see Elvis appeal to new generations, particularly black people because of the racial stigma behind him. Public Enemy didn't help when they called him racist in a song, further adding to the e BS. When he was blowing up, his skills and being natural were well respected with black entertainers. There's pictures of black girls screaming, reaching for him in crowds, Elvis signing autographs for them, etc.
