Em is a global icon, it surpasses the rap genre: greatest Western artist in Africa, him and Justin Bieber are biggest Western artists in Cina, biggest rapper in Asia. Europe started listening to many greats because of Eminem. Also- there's no way Tiger Woods or Pele are one of the greatest in their sports because they were a rarity. Talent x Work+Work+Work+Work + doing what 99% is not willing to do will get you there. Eminem is that rare beast. Mozart got promoted by his Dad like MJ or Aretha were but, in the end, we all know they, too were those Crafters for the art they grew up with. Em had to raise himself, and was already working, rapping and raising kids, in the hood, at the same age these suburban youngsters are when they get up at 10, grab their iPad and hate on how he cannot know the culture. Yet, he is a part of it. Biology, incl. skin colour, doesn't make you part of a culture. Your culture does. R-e-s-p-e-c-t.

But I do find it kind of funny that him referring to the elephant in the room being that one person is black and one person is white. Mix those two colors together and what do you get? Gray. Like the apparent elephant that's in the room. But that only seems to be in the room when his opinion is asked. It sucks that for some people like him and plenty of others. He will not and cannot get the recognition that he deserves because he is white. It does work both ways you know. This dude cut his fan base in half are taking a stand against Trump for being an a****** and racist. Took a stand against cops that were racially targeting black people. And yet still 90% of the hate that he seems to get is from the same community that he is always trying to help out and better and stand for. If you listen to his songs when he talks about racially quality he says all that WE want is racially quality. He has stated many times black people saved my life. And yet he still gets s*** on. I really really don't understand it. And anybody can have whatever opinion they want. I'm not here to s*** on anybody for their opinion. And says that he is basically Adolf Hitler. You want a super bar heavy song. Go listen to Alfred steam. Bad meets Evil all I think about. You want to hear crazy rhyming. Listen to never enough featuring 50 cent where he rhymes his entire verse. Or go listen to Baby. Fast wrapping. Obviously speedom with tech N9ne. Godzilla or rap God. You want to hear him singing. Again Haley song. Stronger than I was he essentially sings the whole entire song. Talking about battling his demons and addiction. Which again he isn't afraid to put out anything. He airs his dirty laundry all the time. If you listen to stepping Stones it's him talking about coming up with D12 and then proof dying in the group essentially falling apart and how guilty he feels for it. Go listen to My band if you're in the mood for some weird silly song. Or we made You. You want some old school hip hop. Go listen to don't front. Has that old school boom bap style. Freestyle. Shady cipher or Shady cipher 2.0. or his newer one kick off. Or his freestyle on sway or Tim Westwood. This songs? yeah i dont think people who bring up that argument understand how the world works. Just statistically alone for hip hop to bring the numbers it does every rapper out there will have a majority of white fans, thats just what the demographics are. I dont understand people who think all the numbers for jayz are from black fans and ems are from white fans for example. its just not statistically likely. Also cant speak for everyone but for me i cant say i have ever sat and gone wow a fellow white man i must support him. The majority in my country is white, a white dude to me is just another dude. I have to speak on this... LOL your thoughts of "the elephant in the room" are legit, no doubt about it, but it's still not fair to disregard Eminems talent due to it. Not to talk about his impact... I'm a fully grown woman from Sweden, who got exposed to hip-hop, and grew to love it, mainly because of Eminem. His songs played on the radio, on MTV and stuff like that when I grew up. I'd heard a few hip-hop songs before, like 2 Pac and Busta rhymes, but since Em came along, always promoting and paying homage to other rappers, he definitely helped turning me into the lover of hip-hop I am today. I'm fully aware that his skincolor was of significance, but does it really matter, if the fact he's white actually helped expand hiphop? I don't see how that's bad. I mean, there are obviously a bunch of doors to break down still, but Eminem definitely helped pushing the culture forwards! Trust me. ❤

Love this song. I think Em is and has been the most diverse rapper, the longest successful still around and has had the ability to reach a far more broader public than any other rapper. Oh, and let's not forget his talent with words, spitting out bars with no effort and can do this also with a speed no other rapper can. He's not without reason called the 🐐😉.
