If you pay attention to the verse structure in em’s verses vs jays you can start to understand why em raps at the level he does. He rhymes with technicality and he’s extremely intelligent. His vocabulary is massive and he can make anything rhyme. He’s verses are like percussion because he works on syllable structure to flow. It’s genius really.

Reading the lyrics gave me new found respect for how Hov attacked this song. Also it’s important to go back and put the Em feature in its proper context. Em was the biggest artist in the world and was smashing everything in his way. For Jay to even take this on, put ‘Em on his album, deserves respect.
