“Biterphobia - Fear of Biters (People who copy other people's styles, words, etc.)..”. -- once again EM outs himself as a time traveller. Somehow this man managed to predict almost everything he has / is experiencing before actually experiencing it.. it’s to the point of almost unsettling how spot on he has been throughout the years. MM - the multi dimensional, time travelling, serial killer, living out the 21st century as a Rap god. A future generation is going to find out the truth..

I really appreciate the going back over this song and even starting it right over at the beginning to get the bars. This is the way it should be done. You'll never get it all, but you gotta at least give it a shot. Do this for all of his songs. Listen to it all to get the flow, and then go verse by verse and just see what jumps out. No one expects you to get it all, and you don't have to wring out the song like a dish cloth. Just give it a couple passes is all.

The really good thing about doing these "throwbacks" of Em tracks is that you can CLEARLY hear the massive influences from other rappers and groups on how he structured his bars. There was a HUGE "Wu-tang influence" on this track. Not just in how he flowed, but in the way the track was put together for scratches, beats, horns and overall beat. There was also a little bit of "EMPD" mixed in there too with some of the way the schemes doubled back on each other to stay consistent with "things that bite" (Spiders, dogs, vampires). Yet, like some old EMPD references, it isn't automatically what you think of when you mention these different things UNTIL you tie it all back together into what they all DO. Example, normally when you just say a dog, most people think of puppies or a family pet, possibly even a general visual appearance. When you mention vampires, you think about the charisma, the look, maybe even imagine an accent. And obviously, you mention spiders and people think of webs, legs and maybe an image of one dangling from a string hanging upside down. BUT as soon as you mention "bite", your mind automatically goes "YEAH, they do bite"... bringing you back to the concept that ties them all together. And with Vampires and Spiders... they "bite" in order to SURVIVE. While Dogs "bite" when ANGRY. So, the other rappers are "biting his style" either because they are MAD and have to do it, or they need to SURVIVE. Either way, they can't match Em on the mic without COPYING him on the mic, which only makes their careers shorter because they can't do it for long without other people noticing it and commenting on it.

I believe you’ll find comfort in knowing his name is M&M. He mostly stayed underground with his mixtape “Soul Intent” with Dj Butteh Fingaz. Afterwards, he’d release “Infinite” with a small time producer, and he spent most of his savings on getting the record out in stores. Unfortunately, due to his illegal use of samples, he was sued, using up all the money he made on the sales of the album, of which he only sold about 1000 copies of. M&M would go on to make a couple more mixtapes with DJ Butteh Fingaz until he had kids in 2001. He remains married to his baby momma to this day, at least, that’s all we know, since no one really cares about him anymore.

We sat in a circle everytime Em dropped a new song/album, we would dissect the lyrics and 20 years later - Em is singlehandedly (along Sir Tolkien) responsible for our rich af vocabulary and eloquence... Rap God even before he dropped Rap God, illest skill there is! Biterphobia Noun. Fear of Biters (People who copy other people's styles, words, etc.) Formation of this word comes from a mixture of "Biter" (Copier) and "Phobia" (Fear). This mixture may have been spawned by the Eminem demo song of the same name off of a Soul intent demo - Urban Dictionary

You guys argue over what the bars mean, and it’s hilarious, because he means both. That’s what makes it a bar Biterphobia refers to people biting his style, but also incorporates being literally bitten by a spider, and becoming afraid of it. hence the double meaning.
