DJ Premier (Primo) has produced TONS of tracks for all kinds of peeps. Check his catalog. He still rocks the production and cut skills. Gangstarr is one of my all-time fave groups. Guru has his own style - smooth but hard - but adds that lyrical originality. Primo balances it out with the dope beats and cuts. And they have a bit of jazz edge to them - Primo has sampled some jazz greats to add to the mix. It was because of Gangstarr that I got into jazz... RIP GURU
