George was always soulful. A beautiful sensitive soul that died too soon. Miss him terribly. So many wonderful songs from his days in WHAM and his solo career. Check out his live performances. Never a wrong note, never!

Great vid. Love your stuff. yeah he had a lot of jazz in his music. Check out his songs Jesus to a Child and I Can't Make You Love Me. His talent, touch, nuance is on full display. Cheers!

His style as a soloist stays primarily in the R&B, Jazzy/pop to pure pop range. His music is at home anywhere from the bedroom to the dance floor because his music makes you feel more than think (I mean that in a good way). While the range of his voice is amazing, it is surpassed by the quality of the arrangements which are masterful. My recommendations would be for Fastlove an One More Try to experience what I’m talking about. He also has some brilliant duets with Aretha Franklin and Mary J Blige.

Where to start with George Michael...Other songs...Freedom '90, Don't let the sun go down on me with Elton John, George & Whitney Houston "If I told you that" and then his group Wham! before going solo.."Everything She Wants" is such a great, upbeat 80s vibe. I love GM and I'll check out anything you do by him :) I'm subscribing.

First of all, thanks for the reaction it was lovely, very well thought out (funny too) and from the perspective of you being a singer yourself. I just want to ask how can young folk nowadays not hear of this song? A lot of reactions have young folks not recognising it. Is it because younger people don't listen to the radio but your own music downloaded or what? Just wondering coz it's a shame, I grew up listening to my parents' music from the 50s and 60s (I'm 49) and it enriched my life and music knowledge so much. Now you get Spotify etc and just put on your own music all day. I do that, too, but try to put on the charts etc so I can hear new stuff, which is also amazing and I'm glad I don't miss out on it. Genuinely want to know from younger people. Thanks so much. Regarding George, wow he had pop, jazz, soul, folk, R'n'B in his music. He was a genius. An amazing voice and an amazing songwriter - he was also gorgeous :). I miss him so much. Suggestions - For the heart: A Different Corner; Blue (Armed with love) Live in China; Father Figure; Kissing A Fool; One More Try; Cowboys and Angels; Jesus to a Child; You Have Been Loved. For the feet: Everything She Wants; Faith; Freedom 90; Fast Love; Amazing; Waiting for That Day; Flawless. But there are so many. :)

I grew up in one of the “ghettos” of America-so, there’s a certain sound that kids my age heard on the radio and most of our parents played... [But, of course you can hear different songs from grandparents and other adults you’re around.] I hate to even have to bring up this thing called, “race”; but it was highly unlikely for people who are [so-called] “black”, to be super familiar with [so-called] “caucasian” artists. They’d have had to be really big or still relevant. I was exposed to all genres, some more than others. But, my point is-he isn’t someone who was heard of, where I grew up. Most likely would’ve heard a song of his, in a film or something such.lol Which, I think is why this song is vaguely familiar to me. My great-grandparents are jazz heads, but I’ve never heard them mention him and I don’t remember any song of his being played. I could have, but I don’t remember. They are probably well aware of his music, though.🤷🏾♀️
