Like the first post: "schlager. its like folklore or traditional music". Do you really think that this Fisher song is "like folklore or traditional music"? That's ridiculous. Sarah is American and for her it is pop. She has open ears and does not follow strict German categories which define "schlager" as the lowest possible level of music which therefore could never be called pop. But pop is not a quality mark, it is simply a sort of music. Just try to hear at that song as If you had never heard it before. The song may not be your cup of tea (it isn't mine either), but you can't deny that this has many features that define "pop".
