The lyric reads: "Oh morning lark! Sing the lyric of freedom of humanity/ ... It is springtime and the flowers are blooming .../ Yet this cage is as gloomy and tight as my heart / ... With your enflaming sigh break this cage and upside it ... / Oh God, Oh nature turn our dark era into a dawn ..."

Please and please don't be traitor And also don't sell your home country and your fake dignity Why do you say he was the sound of freedom of Iran? Are you serious? Let me tell you that there are many documents about your fake maestro about his betrayal of Iran Don't sell your fatherland so cheap We are a family and we don't have to let foreign countries know the details of our political issues Your maestro betrayed the last regime and there was no difference between the regimes for him, he just wanted to be special and different person from other people, There are the real documents about my comment and the most important thing about him is that he wasn't a popular person and he was never with Iranians Please don't be so capricious
@annahita25283 жыл бұрын
Kambiz Mahdavi Now I see that the followers and supporters of the dictatorship in Iran , which is an evil theocracy, are trying to sell their propaganda in an international environment! Well, it won’t make any difference, you and your brutal regime who lives on blood of Iranian people are doomed to get lost in the history, it will happen soon , and the world will see the real face of Iran , with its great peaceful culture of love and art, not the face that your regime has made ; the face of terrorism ! And Shajarian was and will be the voice of freedom in Iran , he was so popular and powerful that even after his death, your bloody regime was scared to let people mourn for him on the streets, bc they the regime was scared of protests. You are like your Ahmadinejhad, who says there are documents, there are documents, but has nothing to show , just an empty brain of being brainwashed!

@@Kambiz.Mahdavi @Kambiz Mahdavi You and the people you worship as Gods, have no sense of humanity, Art, Dignity and morality. You should be blind or Mongol not to see the most important part of your culture in this century. Cause only a Mongol can be this cruel to Iranian pure art and culture. Of course you're obsessed with the people who like to flood innocent's blood. I can feel the anxiety and the anger in your hateful faces. No one gives a shit about your stupid ideas and everybody loves the great maestro and hate Your supreme leader. The history will speak out of this Hitler and his goddamn supporters. May god put people like you in hell.

A cultural note for you: the hand gesture wasn't just an encouragement for people to join in. In Iranian culture it is considered disrespectful to make a sound when a master musician as great as him is singing or playing, so the hand gesture was essentially granting permission to the audience to sing along, as he knows everybody loves this song.
@roshaknoorani13423 жыл бұрын
Exactly! When Mace said: "He kinda went /come on/ to the audience." my thought was: "duuuuude, Shajarian doesn't need to tell people to join in! They're not singing along because they don't want to miss his voice!" :D

Greetings from the eastern part of Canada. His voice is beyond me to say how good it is but this isn't just about his voice in this song, as this song bears so much meaning. It basically says how frustrated we, as a great nation, are after centuries of oppression.

The song is about breaking the chains of oppression. Of course the audience was crying. Incidentally, this was the very first song that was ever played on Iranian National Radio, sung by the other icon of classical Persian Music, Ghamar Ol Molouk Vaziri.

Thanks for sharing & introducing Mohamad Reza Shajarian to the world. In my eyes, " Mohammad Reza Shajarian" was one of the best traditional singers in the world. He was the jewel of Persian Traditional Music all the time. As a vocalist, musician, and master, he influenced Persian traditional style significantly. His death news made me cry 😭back in Australia too. We are all sad because we won't get anyone like him for the next 100 years. R.I.P....... Amen!!!🙏

Hi, this concert was performed to help the survivors of the Bam earthquake, and this is the end of the concert. But people ask Master Shajarian to perform the song "Morning Bird" and he accepts. The Bird of Dawn is a ballad that tells the story of a bird trapped in a cage, in fact it is the story of the Iranian people who are in a difficult situation of dictatorship, and shout for freedom, almost all Iranians know this, it is very sad and exciting.

Good friend, I wish you knew what he was reading !!!! Song is beautiful when you know the meaning of its poem, and of course its poem can not be translated, because there are thousands of terms in Persian poetry that can not be translated. At the beginning of the poem, he says, owl, start reading, which in Persian means a bird that starts reading when it is very sad at sunrise (when the weather is still dark), and contains thousands of stories and philosophies. Thank you for listening to Persian song and praising it. The least I can do is like your page and share it with my friends.

Lyrics is Bahaar's which is one of the most beloved poets, and its about freedom. "morghe sahar" meaning "Dawn's bird" is a symbol of people who lost their freedom ... Poet is addressing people and invites them through this bird to break free by singing and moaning through their humanity and freedom song... It is kind of a shout-out to nature and universe and god to end the dark night and break the dawn...

That was a very nice tribute thank you. He and his voice are and will be forever in our memories. It's good to know that the song he is singing here is like a symbolic song objecting the cruelty and the injustice the Iranian people have suffered throughout history. It makes more sense when you know the background and that he was banned from singing in public altogether a few years later. Here are the English lyrics, the part where the crowd start to sing along loudly, is the part beginning with the "brutality of the oppressor" : O nightingale, make a moaning sound, And further deepen my sorrow Break and overturn the cage out of a heartfelt sigh O cage-bound nightingale get out of the cage, sing the song of human libert And set fire to the whole world out of your sigh The brutality of the oppressor, the cruelty of the hunter has destryed my nest O God, O Heaven, O Nature turn our dark night into a bright dawn It is early in spring, the flowers are in bloom but My eyes are brimmed with tears and this cage is as dark as my heart O heartfelt sigh, start fire in the cage O nature´ hand do not pick the flower of my life (don´t take my life) O beautiful flower, pay more attention to me O nightingale in love, make brief the separation story of yours
