It was Elton John who encouraged them to embrace the flamboyant clothing. They had already been doing it to some extent, and he advised them to really go for it.
@sootysootysooty3 жыл бұрын
wow! when did they meet Elton john?
@ashmar62043 жыл бұрын
@@sootysootysooty He went to one of their concerts in London, and went backstage to talk to them, which is when he advised them to basically not listen to the critics, as well offering the style advice. He later invited them to perform at his annual Academy Award party. They performed Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting. This was in 2018 I believe. Videos are on KZbin of the performance.

I typically consume music on a 1 track basis as you were saying, sometimes I only ever listen to 1 song, but Greta Van Fleet broke that habit. I consumed their whole discography and have been listening to them exclusively for over a month now. They never get old to listen to

Nobody sings like that any more and this is just the beginning for you I hope cause every single song on this record is pure gold. They are all so talented. The guitarist is one of the best right now, there is a 8 minute song with 4 minute solo on electric guitar. The pianist here is their bass player and he often plays keyboards and bass pedals simultaneously. Please do more reactions of them. Heat above and Age of machine are totally different and amazing. Sir, Your demeanor throughout the video was captured perfectly through facial expression and body language . It’s as though you didn’t need to say a word. You started off animated and moved around a lot, then sheer surprise in your eyes after hearing Josh’s magical voice for the first time. The excitement was easily noticeable as Josh hit those high notes.Then instantly your face softened towards the middle and end and you eased into your chair to take it all in. Finally, you smiled so sweetly at the end because you had just experienced the magic that is Greta Van Fleet. 💫🎶 I never watch reaction videos but stumbled upon this and Light My Love happens to be one of my favorites. This made me smile. Thank you

So glad you found them. They are amazing. This album is on another level. Listen to Lover, Leaver from an earlier album, and from this one, Broken Bells, Heat Above and especially The Weight of Dreams. There is not another band out there that can touch them. The lead singer and lead guitarist are twins, the bass player a younger brother and the drummer a family friend. They are extremely talented. They are from Frankenmuth, Michigan.

These guys are what Rock music desperately needs right now. With all the over quantized', ultra auto tuned tripe that has been filling the music scene the last several years , I was literally losing the will to listen. Then here comes Greta. The band that sounds like Freddie mercury collided with Janis Joplin and then ate Emerson Lake and Palmer , and Electric Light Orchestra for good measure. I'm telling you these guys are going to revolutionize , and revitalize the World music scene if they keep their heads on straight, and continue to follow their incredible instincts and musical integrity. I hope you are listening all you young up and coming musicians out there...These are YOUR PEERS and they are doing it right . These are the ones you need to emulate !

Your take on this made me a happy girl! Josh's vocals are stellar in this, as always - and Jake is playing a harp guitar! Josh made films before the band broke out, and loved Kubrick - so you're spot on about your comment in the beginning - as the guys put a lot of ideas into the look and direction of their vids. BUILT BY NATIONS, studio version or live - both are great. Hope your dentist was gentle. 😊

Body language (movement) is often similar in truly great vocalists. When Josh & Freddie open their arms wide, it opens up lung capacity & diaphragm control. They should look alike, because they both use their whole bodies to sing

The band is from Frankenmuth, Michigan. When they were thinking of a name, they liked the name of a local resident, Gretna Van Fleet but changed it by dropping the “n”. They actually got her permission to use her name. Josh (lead singer) and Josh (leas guitar) are twins. Sam (bass and keyboards) is their younger brother by two years and Danny (drums) is the same age and friend of theirs from school and church.
