For the record, the featured main vocal on “Just the Two of Us” is by Bill Withers of “Ain’t No Sunshine”, “Lean on Me, and “Lovely Day” fame. Like how Bruno Mars is the featured singer on “Uptown Funk”, but Mark Ronson is the primary artist.

I guess you know by now that Grover Washington is the one playing sax. He was from Philly and was primarily a jazz artist. He has a classic sax instrumental called Mr.Magic as well as many other great tunes By now you must know that the vocalist is the great Bill Wiithers. He has so many songs to choose from, most written by him and many of them classics. Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone, Lean On Me, Use Me Up and Grandma's Hands are all excellent. I would especially love to see your reaction to Use Me Up. Sadly both of them have passed on, but they leave a rich musical legacy.

My favorite sax player! Grover Washington Jr, was a great sax player who died after taping a performance for a new years eve show in 1999. He was also a producer, writer and arranger. His take on Marvin Gaye's classic, Mercy Mercy Me, is a must hear for anyone who loves the sax. His album, Mister Magic, is a classic and helped set the stage for the jazz fusion era. Saw him four times in concert and he was always on point. I cried when he passed. It was like losing a family member. He collaborated with Bill Withers on this track, but worked with many people from different genres of music. Bill did a bang up job on this jazzy reboot of his original song. RIP Grover and Bill...

You guys fucken rock! For the last two days I have really been entertained by you videos. I am an old school-back in the day music lover. When I was growing up in a small town in Cali in the 70s we only had the radio and they played every type of music on 1 radio station so I grew to enjoy a variety of artist and music which has given me a great appreciation of ALL music. My 16 year old won't even give my music a chance. I am gonna turn him onto your videos. I hope he enjoys them as much as I do. My fave thing to watch is your reactions and surprise to the music your listening to. It cracks me up every time. Keep up the great work! Your #1 fan Sandy Jurado

Late 70s -Early 80s R&B/Funk is still one of my favorite music eras. Smooth jazzy feeling for cuddling with my man or the deep, prominent bass line to get you on your feet dancing

The vocal on this song was done by Bill Withers, who also co-wrote it. Grover Washington Jr. played the saxophone in the song. There is an extended version of this available on KZbin as well.

Have you heard Double Dutch Bus? That would be a fun one. It’s from around the same time as this.

I was going to suggest this one. Loved Grover Washington, Jr. Mostly instrumentals... Best saxophone... Great music. I love this song in particular with Bill Withers.
