Hayedeh is our legend and all generations love her so much and you never get tired of her songs. sorry we get so much distracted by our own singers and songs because of the deep relationships we have with them, but honestly you should really get credit for your open minded, honest, artistic and intellectual reflections to the songs. As an Iranian i'm very glad to see a musician like you has interest to listen to my country music. Haydeh is one of our best singers for all the history, unfortunateley after Islamic Revolution in 1979 many almost all of our artists and miucsicians and singers forced to live the country or leave their carrier because of new religous laws that don't let women to sing.😔😔. By the way i wanna thank you again for your attention to Persian art, I saw your video about Homayoon Shajaryan and his legend father Mohammad Reza Shajaryan who passed away one week ago. There is an important difference between the Persian language and those of western countries, which are Latin based. Unlike English or Spanish or Italian, Persian has no points of stress in words and hence, all the letters and syllables are stretched equally. That’s why it sounds like a flowing river. In English, singers show their feelings of anger/joy/frustration ... by hammering on those stress points, like what you hear in hard rock for example. In Persian, singers raise their voice to show such feelings but still it sounds like a flowing river ... For Persians, learning that alphabets are not stretched equally in English is the most difficult thing , as there are no rules on where the stress point(s) should be! Is it ‘Comfortable or comfor’Table? Well, for a Persian, it’s c-o-m-f-o-r-t-a-b-l-e!

I love the Persian language. I am currently trying to learn to read the Persian alphabet. I think Persian should also be classified as a romance language. Divas like Hayedeh and Googoosh make that obvious.

@@tamjac10 Glad you’re interested. It’s an Indo-European language. It has some words in common with Latin. For example, check these out in Persian: padre (father), madre (mother), Juvenile, to be, che (which is a proposition in Latin/Italian, meaning “that”) But then it has some words in common with English, which is a Germanic language! Check these out: door, eyebrow, brother, daughter, ... Good luck with your learning!
