The performance was at the Mid-Autumn Festival Party 2024. The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated in many East Asian countries (such as China, Japan and Korea and others). It is also called Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival. It is an important holiday in China and is somewhat like Thanksgiving. Dimash sang another song with Huang Xiaoyun. Stunning. Two recent absolutely impressive performances with Dimash as a duet with two wonderful and great Chinese singers. The show is called Our Song - Singing With Legends. The duet with Huang Yiaoyun is based on an anime character and is a soundtrack to the Web-Anime-Series “Since The Red Moon Rose”. This has Phantom of the Opera vibes. This song was written for people with rare diseases and was awarded as the Best Song of the Year. It is dedicated to the Chinese girl Jenny Bao, who could only move one finger when she was born. Doctors only gave her a life expectancy of 4 years. She is now 20 years old and, among other things, writes poems using only the fingers that she was now able to move. Jenny Bao speaks the last spoken part of the song herself with the help of a kind of speech computer. Many people in Canada think of Thanksgiving as a whole weekend not just a day so people start giving Thanksgiving wishes starting Friday. @@alibennett78 I believe Old Hallow's Eve came from the UK originally but it has been changing a lot in Canada. It is so commercial now with huge blow up skeletons being sold at Costco.🙄 I used to love Halloween in the 70's, 80's and 90's but kids have become horrible, greedy, and destructive so I don't celebrate it anymore. My husband would decorate the garage as a haunted house and I would bake cupcakes with bugs and cockroaches made of dates, chocolate, and candies for those brave enough to make through to the end.😏 it was a lot of work but really fun in the old days. Not that we haven't seen Dimash hold notes for more than 20 sec, but there were several breathing breaks in the final phrases of Dimash. So he didn't hold the notes for that long. Longer though than many other singers can...
