I love sonata arctica I've seen them live. Tony (lead singer) has a thing he does where he thanks all the bands for having them, then thanks the fans for buying tickets, because without the fans buying tickets the bands wouldn't need his band to open the show. He then says you are keeping live music alive. Then demands the crowd shout, "I am keeping live music alive" it is a powerful message

This video version is shorter than the album version; The first verse actually ends with "... And be like you; Am I you?", and the second verse (cut out in the video) is: "You made it clear right from the start I am to take your sour heart within, one sad day. But I will never teach my son embittered histories tried and true, 'cuz I'm not you." (If I remember right, he said he wrote this song after he became a father himself as a tribute to his own children.) JP is still my favourite Finn, but Tony is right behind; he's an amazing songwriter and singer.

The world would be a better place if everyone have listened to Sonata Arctica at least once in life. Great reaction!

I think you should check out Sonata Arctica's song No Pain. I think it's about deep depression and suicide. it's a great song.

Thank you for the reaction. I can relate to this song because I grew up in an alcoholic family. What I said never meant anything. I did not make that mistake with my children. Take care and be safe, Rick!!!

The best we can do is control what we can control. Learn and don’t repeat the mistakes of those before us. You served your children well. Thanks for sharing.

David, thanks for your comment. I have made some mistakes with my two children. I have always listened to what they had to say. My military back ground helped with that. Kids don't come with instruction manuals so everyone makes mistakes. I just tried not to repeat the bad things that were done to me. I think I am ready to tell you some good things about the men that died right next to me. I will write about them later. Having bad side effects to a medication I am on. I have to type with one finger because my hands shake so bad. thanks again my friend, Rick!!

The spoken part is a shortened version from the United Nations Declaration for the Rights of the child. I'm amazed and I love how you, with your every reaction, instantly get what the songs are about. Some of those I have listened for years and never got so deep into the lyrics that you seem to understand right away (I'm not a native English speaker though). I would really love if you'd do a reaction of one of the songs by Sentenced. I grew up with their grim but black humour filled songs. I have asked this before, but I'd really like you to do a reaction of No one there or Broken, songs that I think would fit your channel like a fist in the eye (a Finnish expression for like a glove). P.S. I became a patreon today!

This is a very powerful song. I find it intriguing that during the course of the pictures the child scrubs out the father after all of the abusive scenes we have seen, in a way the Father doing it to himself by the hand of his own child which is a real shame. Just so that you know, there is actually another verse. The lyrics are: You made it clear right from the start, I am to take your sour heart within, One sad day. But I will never teach my son, Embittered history tried and true, Cos I’m not you!!!

In Finland 4-year old child was murdered couple of weeks ago because of their parents violence. Thats why this song is always important. We all can react if we seen something which shows any violence to children.

Wasn't in touch with my parents for about 15 years. Can't say I wan't to much, but I feel some problems from my childhood affect my present life. The far, the more. And the song, I guess, draws attention to this affect. It would be less harmful if you fight with your children when they're adult. If you have shown them how to behave as a nice human. Feeling one. The one having imortant opinion. Thinking being, not just following orders.

1 of my favs of Sonata's production. "Nothing's what it seems to be, I'm a replica, I'm a replica. Empty shell inside of me, I'm not myself, I'm a replica of me". I've seen 'em performing live, here in "periferia" of Europe. 🙂 "Letter to Dana", "Shy" and, "Last Drop Falls" r my favs aswell. I sing 'em out loud when i'm cruising alone.

Hi Amanda. I like where you're taking your channel New sub. I recommended a song by Theory of a Deadman called "Medicate". Maybe don't do a reaction on it. It isn't very encouraging. Instead, listen to Aaron Lewis "Someone" or "Everyone Talks To God". He is former lead singer of Staind, but his country music is awesome. Have a blessed day.
