It’s hard to tell where the singing ends and the guitar begins. It’s absolutely phenomenal! What a talent.

best showcase of Chris' guitar playing but also one of his best live performances EVER!
@badm0t0rf1nger Жыл бұрын
You're spot-on in saying his guitar playing is as lyrical as his vocals. He's no technical shredder on guitar, but what he *does* play is played with conviction & great feel. You can almost hear his voice singing the bends he plays on those guitar strings. Exceptional talent. I should also point out the 2min jam at the end of this only works because of super-tasteful support from the excellent drummer & bassist. Personally, I love that jam.... but then I play bass, & I know it was the tasty bass playing that allowed it to work! ;)

Chris was also with the Steeldrivers (Bluegrass) and Jompson Brothers (bluesy rock), and from seeing him live before he became "famous" he is one of those rare performers who sounds great live if not better. Great reaction

Chris Stapleton is amazing, hes got such a wonderful Voit was such a great move to go from writing songs for other people to singing them himself. Do you really belong in the country hall of fame? I love the blues the way he sings the country. And it's so blue today so hard. You feel everything from down in a soul. He is a true country singer.

Woohoo! Thanks for doing this one, it's amazing. Doesn't it sound like he and his guitar mimic each other in this song? I swear, that solo at the end sounds so much like how he sings. It's something that is so uniquely him. It was great seeing you react to this one. It was great seeing how much you enjoyed it. Have a great afternoon!

There is a very simple, love song Chris has called "Millionaire" that I recommend, especially if there is a special woman you can play it for. Also, if you want a change of pace that will blow your mind, check out the acapella group Home Free and start with their cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow." Unbelievably talented.

Nice job. I also have difficulty putting what I feel into words when I listen to that guy. Note that this performance was when the band was short of personnel, and they had to wing it a bit. That was why Chris played the guitar as much as he did and was not his usual understated self.

I just stumbled upon your channel whilst doing my weekly “check-ups” on Chris Stapleton’ “Reactions”… I think you’re the FIRST person that didn’t actually do “Tennessee Whiskey” as their initial “Plunge” that INEVITABLY leads them Slightly Dazed 🤯 and 🫠Diving, Head~First DIRECTLY Down the 🎶Magical Music Hole🎶 that IS THIS MAN, his Loving and BADASS -Amazingly Devoted and Angelic-Voiced WIFE and Talented BAND that also seem in AWE of his Raw, Rare, GOD🙌GIFTED Talent while being Insanely TALENTED themselves and TOGETHER… A frickin Endless Gift of EPICNESS that just doesn’t even seem real and yet WE are Reminded with EVERY DAMN SONG that He’s the gift that keeps on giving and THAT 🟰The Realm of Chris Stapleton Reactions and I LOVED yours! Welcome to the Reactor-Realm of A lifetime!! 🙌 (IMO anyway!) New Sub for sure here! Totally addicted to the Awe and Surprise that Follow EVERY*SINGLE*PERSONS* Reactions that I’ve EVER WATCHED and not ONE wasn’t about to “Check out another Chris Stapleton Song” lol! I love your Chris Stapleton reactions. I subscribe with the last reaction. I look forward to many more. Please consider reacting to the Righteous Brothers 'Unchained Melody'. They're not actually Brothers, but we're called righteous by some men in a black bar one night, and they took it as their name. One of the brothers Bobby Hatfield, sings Unchained Melody. His voice is smooth and off-the-charts good, with absolutely no effort, while playing live on NBC in 1965. Thanks for your consideration.

How would you like to give a listen to some other country music artists. Here's one of the original "outlaw country" music legends "Merle Haggard - Are The Good Times Really Over For Good (I Wish A Buck Was Still Silver)" he was one of country music's most famous former convicts. At 20yrs. old he was an inmate at San Quetin Prison and where he saw Johnny Cash for the first time, Cash first performed in San Quentin Prison in 1958 it has been reported that Haggard said as with Cash's performance, it has often been credited with inspiring Haggard to focus on music. And produced a country music legend

the continuous notes sound very good to you because the bass and the drum players are very well in-tune with him, so if you rewatch and just pay attention to the bass player you can hear him play the same notes, but one time he may play it starting from the bottom up to the note or vice versa to add that depth that's needed for an otherwise plain note!
