He's using popular beats of the time , 1st is D nice, then EPMD, PE, Digital Underground, then LL. This era Cube was illest. Saw him and Lench Mob open for Beastie Boys in Kalamazoo Michigan in 93. Check your Head tour, Henry Rollins opened too, best show I've ever seen

From an English point of view, hip hop smashed the mediocrity mainstream music we were listening to, giving us a glimpse of American Street life. It was a real eye-opener. In the areas I was brought up in may have had a pub (bar) on most streets. Gunshops? I've never seen one. I have, however, seen generation after generation of amazing talent taken too soon. Mind blowing.. I appreciate listening to talented storytellers, whichever area they rep.. I envy you seeing them live lol, even if they did gigs in uk? I was skint 🤣

It was mind-blowing when this dropped. He was at the top of his game around this time. He wasn't dissing anyone by jacking their beats. As he mentions in the song, "Even if you're down with my crew, I jack them too" and then jacks a PE joint. However, he does give a shot to NWA at the end when he says "I'll have you marks a hundred miles and running".

Ice Cube's first solo album, "Amerikkka's MOST Wanted", was produced by the Bomb Squad who were Public Enemy's producers. Chuck D and Flava Flav had guest appearances on this album as well. Hence the line "Even if you down wit my crew, we'll jack them too" right before the beat for Public Enemy's "Welcome to the terrordome" drops

Imagination is everything...they didn't have the technology they got now...but way more creative.....plus we grew upon soul funk r&b...that's where the producers pulled from.... the black kids today don't know about any of that and it's not by mistake this is another way to not know your history..... the internet Andis reality shows are the distraction and if you notice that mostly black people 70s 80s and 90s music that y'all don't know because of this b******* this is why all the Beats sound the same they're not pulling from anything they're watching each other
