Before its said yet again, please remember a freestyle does not need to be off the top. Most freestyles are written. The key thing is 1., there does not need to be a subject, you are free to rap about whatever you want. 2. You have to take what you write and match it to a beat you don't know. It's underrated just how hard that is, taking what you wrote without a beat and trying to make it fit to sound good. Then hit it with flow changes, some off the top ad libs once you find your rhythem. AND THEN GET THE BEAT CHANGED ON YOU. For music I would strongly recommend checking out his albums 2014 Forest Hills, KOD, and then Off Season. All 3 are very different but top to bottom flawless and you can hear his evolution as a rapper.

I'm not sure that first ones written and the second could be written because of the flow that wasn't just a normal fast flow he chose to start on a different pocket on the beat that most would because its harder to do

I feel like it was a bunch of lyrics, that he may have written or thought of before but didn’t make it to the album. At the end of the 2nd freestyle sounds like he was about to start saying lyrics from his album. “How they say a nigga aint in his prime” I think I quoted that wrong but the start of 100 .mil I think.

My man this is not off the top, every rapper knows that. Even if you ask J cole himself he would say this isn't off the top. There are 2 types of "freestyle", the type that is pre-written and the type that is off the dome. This is known within the rap community, its not like they are hiding it. Most freestyles you find is pre-written, which is why they sound so polished and amazing. The most talented people i have seen freestyle off the top is harry mack, king los, juice world. Just wanted to point this out to distinguish the two styles of freestyle that exist. That aside you are killing it with your reactions keep it up :)
