When I first saw this one back in 2017, little did I know what kind of journey they had in store for me. Several albums later, I'm still excited about their soon upcoming new release. The whole discography is just full of so many different music styles and influences and meaningful lyrical content to keep things fresh for me. Not a single skippable song (IMHO).

Tatiana spent 12 years working her throat to be able to growl like that. It uses the muscles just below the vocal chords, this is how she can swap from growl to singing voice effortlessly. Her posture is actually to help get the sound out when she growls - she uses her entire diaphragm to push sound out without engaging her vocal chords. Their drummer Vlad taught himself drums to join Jinjer. He's actually a classically trained pianist.

I like Spiritbox quite a bit. Courtney is a world class vocalist for sure with extraordinary ability. That being said, Tatiana is from a different planet! The Queen of Metal. You will for sure enjoy exploring Jinjer, and when you learn some of their history you will be even more amazed. Talk about a band that has overcome some crazy stuff. The first step is to learn they are from Ukraine and had to leave their hometowns in 2014 when Russia invaded and annexed Crimea.

Go and watch the live collab they did together this year. It’s so cool to hear the differences in their technique up next to each other. They compliment each other SO well. I would also say that while they operate in the same genre, they’re band’s sound is completely different

Everyone who does those vocal techniques sounds different since it's biology and not a man made instrument so the variety in the genre when it comes to vocalists is pretty wide. A good next one would be Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air 2019. Also Pit of Consciousness Live in Kyiv and Sit Stay Roll Over Live in Melbourne. Thanks for the reaction.

Tari is a.. 🦄? but their music is a bit to progressiv for me. Yes that is growling tmk. Fry never sounds so low. Courtney uses 95% fryscreams and so does most in that genre. Check the Operation Throat camera if you want to learn/understand how it is created. Will Ramos became a household name after that
