Kenny has become the heir apparent to Jimmy Buffett. I say that because Luke Bryan's One Margarita song mentions Chesney, along with Buffett and Bob Marley, basically announcing to the world Kenny has become the new Calypso Crooner but with his own flare and a little more country than Jimmy was. He has a huge catalog, and I mean huge! Story telling through song. He epitomizes what Jimmy Buffett once said. "When you write a song, it doesn't belong to you anymore. It belongs to everyone who identifies with it." Kenny has transcended into that realm. His songs tell stories that touch countless lives. Sometimes heartbreaking, a lot of feel good, but such is life. Like Jimmy's catalog, I own all of Kenny's albums. And his generosity knows no bounds, from stories I read about and hear. He once cut a check to Taylor Swift so she could pay her band and keep touring one year, and his No Shoes Radio on Sirius/XM has artists who probably wouldn't be heard if it wasn't for him. It's my go to on the road! Some people don't like him because he has a little more rock and roll in his music but gone are the days of twangy country anyway. Now I just want to see him do a duet with another one of my favorites, Lainey Wilson!
