Thanks for doing this! I loved this song when it came out. It was played a lot on the radio. He wrote it with Mark Selby and Tina Sillers. He is an amazing guitarist as well as a singer! They said that it can apply to people in different ways, death of a loved one, broken relationship, etc.

Kenny Wayne is a fabulous guitarist, up there with the likes of Stevie Ray and Joe Bonamassa. His career started when he was very young

Kenny’s dad was a radio personality and concert promoter, and Kenny was like 6 when he was mesmerized seeing Stevie play at one of his dad’s concerts.

If you like Kenny Wayne, then you might also check out Jonny Lang, from around the mid 90s, with "Lie To Me". These are two good blues players that kind of came and went from the mainstream, pretty quickly but they are still making music. There is also Colin James, from early 90s, and I'll suggest his rocker "Just Came Back".

Ian Moore’s self titled album and Joe Bonamassa’s song Stop! off The Ballad of John Henry album is a must. Joe also has a song called Sloe Gin, that will make you a fan; hook, line and sinker. It’s the Kenny Wayne Shepard Band but the lead singer is Noah Hunt. Kenny Wayne didn’t sing on many of his early songs but that’s definitely him on that amazing guitar solo!! I love Noah’s voice though!! You really should check out Jonny Lang. He’s is another great guitarist and his voice is unbelievable. His first major album release was when he was only 15! Lie To Me is on that album and his voice at 15 will blow you away as well as his guitar skills. Also, check out Breakin’ Me, Quitter Never Wins, Red Light, Still Rainin’, Irish Angel.

I grew up in Shreveport,Louisiana at the time KWS was coming up. We had mutual friends and it was not uncommon for KWS to be playing acoustic at a house party. I saw him open a blues festival in 1994 for Jeff Healey and BB King. I believe he open a concert for the Eagles that year as well, we were seniors in high school. Deja Voodoo and Born with a Broken Heart are from his first album, Ledbetter Heights, great jams

Kenny is a master blues guitars Noah Hunt on vocals. I saw them live this year for the first time and they do not disappoint. Masterful guitar and vocals. I love all of his work. So much more to listen to.
