Honestly I am always happy when people start on a Kylie journey. She has never had huge success here in the States but she is a global superstar around the world. Her first few albums are VERY 80s but once you get to mid-90s and beyond she really kicks in to excellent song after excellent song. Love the “Kylie Journey” concept. I started mine in 2008 in Madrid, Spain, on her X Tour. It was mindblowing, a brilliant show. The spanish audience were so loud, that she came again in 2009 in the same tour.

Hey, Ayanna! I don't blame you for not knowing who Kylie is. Unfortunately, in the U.S. her chart success hasn't been as huge as in other parts of the world for some reason. With that being said, Kylie has 34 years being in the music business so she's definitely been around. In her native Australia, Europe, Japan and pretty much everywhere she's been quite frequently in the charts and she hasn't really stopped achieving hits. Last year she released her most recent studio album with a couple of music videos filmed in quarantine. Due to her extensive discography it's kind of hard to say which songs to be recommended but what I can tell you is that you won't regret it if you undergo the Kylie journey into her discography. Nice reaction! This was used recently in an episode of Black Mirror, so could have heard it there? Otherwise its sound def inspired a ton of pop from the 00's. Dual Lipa credits her love for Kylie as inspiration in becoming a pop star, so the music video comparison makes sense. When this song first came out 20+ years ago, it reminded me of a song called "Beachball" by Nalin & Kane which was released 4 years earlier. That song was a big hit in some countries but a minor hit in more. Kylie's song however was absolutely massive almost everywhere, including America.
