3:26 gets me every time, there's something so spiritual about that part. She takes us to church.

It was love at first sound when I heard Laura Mvula about 10 years ago. The song is Green Garden. I heard it on a college radio station. I didn't catch the artist's name, and, thank goodness for Google! I was a woman on a mission to find the artist and song title. Found it. And when I saw the video...I became an instant fan. Her Sing to the Moon album is in constant rotation for me. I always listen to Green Garden to welcome in spring and summer, and her songs Sing to the Moon and Diamonds have pulled me through some tough times. If the spirit moves you, and you're looking to just kick back and chill, look up Laura Mvula live with the Metropole Orkest, Jules Buckley conducting here on KZbin. She's absolutely regal performing the orchestral version of her Sing to the Moon album. Thanks for featuring one if my favorite artists. 😊

Yes Laura is from the UK Birmingham she been around for a few years now she was classically trained a young member of cappella jazz, neo-soul, gospel choirs. It's hard to character what genre she is because she also has pop classical influence. Love her style she mention she was heavenly influenced by Erykah Badu, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Jill Scott, Jackson 5. Nile Rodgers wanted to worked with Laura because he is such admirer of her music. So he played the base which anyone knows Nile Rodgers you can hear it. Released in 2016 Overcome is just basically is mind over matter. To overcome without fear whatever the circumstances your going through. Eventhough it would be hard to run with broken feet 😂 but I love the overall encouraging and spiritual words to live by. Love the images of the video she is so underrated as a artist love her 2013 debut album "Sing to the Moon" thank you for your honest review glad you liked it 🥰🥰❤️❤️
