Melissa got it right. This isn’t the actual performance at the finale but the one she did after she won at the end of the 4 hours long finale. That’s why she’s more exhausted and talks to the audience

You should react to the Melodifestivalen performance which is kinda like the pre-selection for Sweden and there you can see how it was supposed to be. But Loreen is amazing nonetheless😍🤩

If you are going to start going down the Eurovision rabbit hole then you have SO many amazing songs to discover, just as a few examples, Loreen again with Euphoria, Netta with Toy, Sergey Lazarev with Scream, Cornelia Jakobs with Hold Me Closer, Kalush Orchestra with Stefania, Dami Im with Sound Of Silence, Duncan Lawrence with Arcade, Conchita Wurst with Rise Like A Phoenix, Ochman with River and Arilena Ara with Fall From The Sky and that is just scratching the surface

I've known of Eurovision for many years because of ABBA winning it and that whole story, but I never actually got to watch it until 2010, when streaming technology advanced enough to see it online. Seen every one since then usually on Sweden's SVT website. The video in those days was atrocious, but has greatly improved.There is always at least a couple of great songs, a few good songs and a bunch of mediocre songs and a few really bad ones. I understand about wanting to listen to studio versions to get the best sound, but a big part of the fun of Eurovision is the performances. It can really add or subtract from a song. Reacting to some of the crazy or bad performances could be as fun to watch as some of the great ones. Loreen did win in 2012. At the time her song was a real change of pace as it was much more modern than the competition usually had. Every year since then has seen a great increase in more modern radio friendly songs. I'd love to see your reactions to the Euro great songs and "bad" performances. Would be fun.

I think the biggest change in Eurovision was when Sweden arranged in 2000 when it was held in a big arena for 13000 people and with large video screens. Before that it was usually in a tv studio. The winner that year is also probably my all time favorite winner, Olsen brothers from Denmark with Fly on the wings of love.

This... isn't quite accurate though, is it? While the Stockholm event did set a new attendance record (to be beaten one year later in Copenhagen), Eurovision was already often held in large theatres, arenas or concert venues by that stage: Dublin's The Point in 1997, Birmingham's National Indoor Arena in 1998, The Hague's Congresgebouw in 1980, the Palais des Congrès in Paris in 1978, Munich's Rudi Sedlmayer Halle in 1983, etc.

More reactions to Eurovision would absolutely be lovely. The contest has been getting better since 2015, and especially since 2021. Loreen played a good part in modernizing it in 2012, and now has won it again. The contest’s influence seems to be increasing as it’s now responsible for a lot of huge TikTok hits, kickstarting several successful international careers in the process. While this song is outside my personal top 10, I’m still very happy for her!

I love Eurovision. It's always so fun even though most of the songs are really only worth one listen. The performances are the real reason to watch. I also love to see the long long reveal of each countries score counting down to the winner. Most songs and performances wouldn't be worth reacting to but there are many many good ones that could give you some content to put out for a while. MARISSA, did you watch The American Song Contest last year? It was entertaining. It doesn't look like they are going to do it again though.

Watched Eurovision every year since 1984. Loreens winning contribution from 2012 (Euphoria) is better than Tattoo in my opinion. She also entered the swedish outtakes in 2017 with the song Statements but wasn't really close winning to represent sweden in Eurovision that year. I was really mad about that because that song is so different and have crazy energy. If you ever listen to it, please watch the live version or you'll be missing out.

There have been 1,722 songs in Eurovision since it started in 1956. Sweden has just equalled Irelands record of 7 wins. UK, France and Luxembourg have won it 5 times each. Ukraine is the most successful 21st century country winning it 3 times so far.

@@rowaystarco read the original comment again - ”Ukraine is the most successful 21st century country winning it 3 times so far”. This claim is not correct, since Sweden has 3 wins too, which means Ukraine shares the same number of wins with another country and cannot be THE most sucessful country by definition. What is there to debate??? Where did I say that it’s not ”well done by Ukraine”???

Many great performances (and some not so great lol). But if you are looking to some great performances, you can check out Grande Amore by Il Volo, or Jamala's 1944, or Conchita's Rise Like a Phoenix, or Chanel's SloMo, or Sergey's You're the only one, or Maneskin or La Forza by Elina Nechayeva... and many many more.. :)

I think the audience vote went to Finland but the jury got Sweden over the line. Some think it a bit of a coincidence that Sweden just happen to win in time to host the 50th Anniversary of Waterloo winning in 74. It's a kind of song that builds but really goes nowhere after a few held long notes in its banal chorus.
@Loov3d

and the song continues to be the most heard song in the competition this year, it's the song with the most daily streams and it's been on the global charts for almost 1 month, I think it still hurts to see that Loreen has more wins than finland in the competition lol
