Written by renowned Irish songwriter Phil Coulter about his own special needs son. Luke sang it with such passion you'd easily believe it was HIS child.

I think you’re developing the “grá” (the Irish Gaelic word for love, rhymes with “awe”) for Irish music! Luke Kelly was one of the founding members of The Dubliners, who accompanied Jim McCann singing Grace, which you reviewed in August. Sadly, he passed in 1984 at just 44 years of age. His gravelly-sounding voice is quite unique. The songwriter’s (Phil Coulter) son Paul, the subject of this song, passed at just 4 years old in the late 1960s. Phil wrote the song to help him with his grief.

You may recognise the host. It's a younger Jim McCann, who you reacted to singing Grace.

I love your take on this and your reactions. There was a problem with the synchronization of voice. Hard to watch.
