Thank you so much for remembering this fantastic Italian song. I was a boy at the time but I remember being very impressed by Antonella Ruggiero's powerful, crystalline and angelic voice. Moreover, also musically Mattia Bazar were a potentially truly international and underrated band. This song, as well as other excellent songs by the band, never tires and this is also a good reason for its immortality. As for the voice, only a few other Italian pop singers were at Antonella's level, we remember Juni Russo and Mina...

Freddie Mercury was a HUGE fan of Matia Bazar. Enough said uh ? They shared management in Japan tour , there is a not so known amazing photo of Freddie and the entire Matia's band playn' piano and enjoy a party. I'm italian and trust me guys , this band was on a stratospheric level even live. They started with pure Prog in teh seventies , passed to electronics in the 80's and then to pop/rockish and even folk ballads. Take a listen to Vacanze Romane ... oh god , there is literally the entire pure Italian soul in that song. Antonella is a absolutely UNIQUE species.
