1991 in Moscow. It was the first time a western metal band had been allowed to put on a concert in the Soviet Union, and a people who'd been isolated for nearly 50 years got the chance to experience the world outside of communist Russia. You bet they all showed up. :D Fun Fact: Metallica holds the record for playing a show where the highest percentage of the population of the continent were in attendance. They played in Antarctica, to a group of 120 scientists at Carlini Station, in 2013. They also became the first band to play a concert on every continent on Earth.

Metallica is what the military refers to as a “ force multiplier” .... if you see them live and in person, they feed off the crowd’s energy and multiply it, the crowd then feeds off this multiplied energy, and so on and so forth. The first time I saw them live, I didn’t sleep for 3 days, and when I did it wasn’t a crash. You mentioned the whole band being a cheat code... Cliff Burton (rip) was the cheat code. I discovered Metallica in the early 90’s (born in 81), and I remember those first impressions I have about Metallica and their guitar abilities . It’s one of the things that caused me to become a guitarist myself. But those memories are sooo old. 30 years old. And you brought me back to those days when I first discovered Metallica because that’s just about how I felt SUBSCRIBED!!
