This song is so interesting! Firstly, its about feeling alien to the world. When the allegations hit, MJ started to become isolated from everyone especially America. If you notice no other country treats MJ as bad as his home does. So MJ left to Germany to escape from the public eye and this song was the result of that. and second if you notice his dance moves are very robotic almost like he's saying he is the puppet to the world entertainment.

The Russian Government actually hid Michael after the '93 Allegations. He wrote Stranger in Moscow in Moscow in his Hotel Room. His Security said that when they heard about the Allegations, they went to Michael and saw him in the Closet of his Room crying because he didn’t know what the hell was happening. He then went, wrote this song, shot the music video and even shot another Music Video with his nephews called "Why" ft. 3T, who came to Moscow the same day to support their uncle! My mom was on this exact same show when she was 14, haha! Greetings from Germany!
