Grammy Awards Night for this year has just finished, with Beyonce, Adelle and Taylor Swift among the winners (again). They already have so many Grammys, why not give other talented artists, like Morissette, the chance? I mean, talent-wise, Mori is not far from them. @@ronaldnunez8921 If you are just talking about singing talent from a true VOCALIST then Taylor Swift is not in the conversation but Beyoncé and Adele are both talented singer’s especially Adele. I think Beyoncé vocals are overrated but there is no denying her fame and fortune. I don’t think the people selling this era of music want an artist like to prove you still can have fantastic vocals in a cute attractive package with MEGA charisma and superlative VALUES !!! Oh yeah a 5 octave range and the dynamic control of the best to ever do it does not hurt either. Trust me when I tell you Mori is more talented than anyone doing it today from a vocal standpoint! She even has really good original music that becomes magic when she sings it. The big boys could make Morissette a household name in a second but they want control. Mori does not wanna sell her soul for the fame ! Plain and simple .

There are quite a few people that still doubt her skills live, saying that they've doctored the performances, blah, blah, blah. If you haven't gone on her YT page yet, she posted quite a few videos during the pandemic, when she spent time in the province with her now husband's family. She did "Halo" with just her guitar. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT! A couple other "must watch" performances are: "And I am Telling You" (her finale song at her Made In Cebu concert" "Diyan Ba Sa Langit" (means "there in heaven". Her duet with Jason Dy, a very underrated singer as well, on the WishBus). There are no subtitles, but you won't need them.

Yes loved this cover the arrangement is superb, that beautiful voice, I loved Whitney in the Bodyguard the music was absolutely beautiful it was a shame it started going down hill from there, because in that film Whitney gave everything, she is looking down on Mori and smiling and saying thanks you did me proud, and thanks young man for a great reaction keep it up .

"Whitney Houston must be proud of Morissette!" and I completely agree. Whitney must be so glad there"s someone like Mori to carry on the legacy of greatness in her songs. Yes, when Mori does covers, she's not playing around, she gives justice to the song, and by putting in her "Mori touches" like the squeaks (which the original singers do not have on their rendition) makes them her own. It's always exciting to watch her perform, because somewhere in the performance she'll be putting in some surprises that we don't wanna miss, like in this case, that grit, power and growl, she even managed to squeeze in a squeak or vocal break in the middle of a belt! Incredible talent and skill, nobody does it but Mori. She's a vocal beast. 🥰

FTR, I am a retired professional music critic with 45 years experience. Morissette Amon is one of the top 5 to 8 Pop singers of all time. I saw Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and so many others in their Apex prime vocal peak years. Morissette Amon is as good as any of them.
