Thanks for the highlight " you need to see this" ;) waiting a bit for anticipation before watching it :) Merci infiniment Wow, you seem to be a smart guy, cos' you made researches about the artist, the period of her career, the meaning of the lyrics (which are always very important in Farmer's creation process, she's OUR French gay icon, her lyrics are amazing, almost very dark, but she always, even on up tempo songs, wanna "make dance the melancholy", I think I saw her 10 times on stage since I was a teenager...). Also, you directly understood the fabulous link and respect between her and her audience, more than only her fans, I can tell you that after 2hours standing in the first rang of her shows, you can't stop crying so the emotion and the "mise en scène" are fantastic, even for people who I invited who were totally indifferent to her art before seeing her on stage. Maybe for your next reaction could I suggest you an official live video from her last show in Paris from 2019 called "Pourvu qu'elles soient douces" released in 1988 with a crazy historical short movie (as a Music Video) from 17minutes...... I permit to suggest you again entrances as " Avant Que L"Ombre LIVE => Peut Etre Toi, or "Timeless 2013" Intro+"A force de". Before the 21th century, she was a peotic romantic/gothic phenomenon, then during the 90's she became the most best selling artist in French speaking countries, after "L'autre..." and the hit single Désenchantée, she reappeared coming back to Europe with the amazing album "anamorphosée" released in NYC and L.A, with a new vide obviously coming from the US grunge vibe at this period => " Live a Bercy 1996 ; Ouverture+Vertige ; California ( Live 1996 version is totally crazy, the MV was directed by the controversial Abel Ferrara (a must have ) , or XXL are all masterpieces) Thank you for what your are, music and art are in my opinion the best way we have to follow to be united

Mylène Farmer is the best artist in France for almost 40 years. She sold millions of records and she made amazing music video. Her concerts are always an event and spectacular. I have two tickets to see her in Stade de France (Saint Denis) in June 2023 which is already sold out. She’s also a gay icon but everybody loves her in France..Try to get the translations of the lyrics. All her songs have a strong message that sometimes you understand after several listenings. Thank you ! this song is THE moment of the live, she did it at all her lives (except the first because it was not released) either, 1996,1999,2006,2009,2013,2019 and necessarily 2023 but the 2009 (the one here) is my favorite version ☺️ this song is her biggest hit with more than 1.3 million copies sold. and the more you just have to read the lyrics to see that it is still relevant, and will always be, unfortunately I think ... "Désenchantée" (1991) in the sense of disappointed, awakened from her illusions, aware of certain hurtful truths. It also addresses the meaninglessness of life and its fatality, which makes our lives absurd and meaningless moments (that's why it's topical...) The designer is Jean Paul Gaultier, who also designed Madonna's outfit reminder: 80,000 people and she is the only female artist to have performed at the Stade de France to date 😝 (class not?)
