@@setonhillstudios Thank you for reacting Nemophila, they are too good to be known only in Japan. For me they are number One. Loving Band-Maid too but Nemophila has something Magical in their playin’..Their liveshows are amazing, it’s like they were born to play together. Next time try some if their Official Live Videos.. Revive, Zen or Oiran( the latest one). Their Hard Rock-side: Change The World, Life. They haven’t done a bad song.

You have now done 2 of my 3 favorite bands in Jinjer and Nemophila. The one you have not hit yet is Hanabie, highly suggest Pardon Me I Have to Go Now mv. Also a big fan of Band Maid and Lovebites. Just wait until you check each of the bands above live as they all are monster live bands.

Great reaction and you touched on one of the main reason that a lot of these all female rock/metal bands are blowing up in the last couple of years, interesting and complex composition and high technical skills. For me Band-Maid has the most interesting compositions coupled with their high level of skill and no ego. Nemophila is a great metal band with that high technical skill and their song writing is getting better. Have fun on your journey to the far East.

The Japanese metal/rock scene is currently the best in the world IMO. The elite nusicianship you see from Lovebites, Nemophila & Band-Maid is incredible. I've seen Nemophila live & they are awesome. Have tix to see Lovebites in September.

The members of nemophila are musicians from different bands. They are all excellent musicians. And nemophila is a very unique and diverse band, with various genres of music appearing in their catalog. I recommend《oiran》live(recent upload) as the next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻

Tamu Murata (the drummer) can probably vary her hold at will: she's a very high-end fusion drummer,* and one of the most technically proficient not just in this niche but in metal...period. She's been a very in-demand session drummer for a good few years in Japan, and having her find a band to dedicate herself to like she has with Nemophila has been awesome. Nemophila = my favorite band anywhere. Versatility, massive technical shops, and teh sort of chemistry and charisma that doesn't come along more than a few times in an entire generation. Very, very special band... * How high end? Well...she's made a couple videos alongside Senri Kawaguchi (probably in the convo for best drummer _anywhere)) and looked like she belonged.

I really appreciate you reacting to Nemophila. I’m not a musician of any sort, but it sounds like you are and may be a drummer. Tamu Murata is simply my favorite of countless fabulous drummers in Japan and around the world. I can dump a ton of sugar on you with her background (entice you), but I’ll leave that for another reaction. I look forward to those reactions as this was very simple for her. You already have some suggestions that I’m in complete agreement with. Side note; I’m also a huge fan of Lovebites, East of Eden and to some extent Band-Maid fan.

DUDE... Well thats the Big 3... Band-maid, lovebites and now Nemophila. Over 200 songs between them, If you Dare.... Nemophila are 5 best friends Kickin a** and takin names... so many great original songs from them check out the 3 big R's Revive mv, Raitei mv and Rise mv.. also lives of Zen, Chancge the world and Seize the fate.. They have also done covers of all the greats, From Metalica's Master of puppets to System of a down's Sugar, Iron maiden's Aces high to Kiss's Detroit rock city (in full make up) So much to see that will blow your mind.. There is nothing these Ladies can't do, and two of them are mom's with children under 5.. Do more of these 3 bands, their music is good for the soul.... Best wishes from France..

Strangely, the vocalist, Mayu, says she finds scream vocals easier than clean. Considering her great melodic vocals that just seems nuts. Such a great band.

BTW, IIRC, this song was composed by their frequent collaborator Kensuke Akiyama. The band does write some of their songs but this is one of Akiyama-san's.

Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park"). The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by... Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band); Haraguchi-san - bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Music College (ex - Holderlins band); Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill"; Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade, "Destrose", and others), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and... when you are tired to see only females on stage :) check out some "regular" Japanese bands. great male vocalist and superior guitar player Syu in power metal band Galneryus - "Angel of Salvation" (live is better but twice as long) violin, ex all girl band vocalist Fuki, dual lead guitars aso in symph / power metal band Unlucky Morpheus - "The Black Death Mansion Murders" (official mv)

OK, so you've listened to Band Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. I have three new Japanese band suggestions for you. And one non-Japanese band. MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - Yoshu Fukushu they are VERY influential in Japan. In fact, Band Maids drummer, Akane Hirose, didn't know girls were allowed to play Rock drums until she saw Nao from MTH. Hanabie (Ha-Na-Bee-Eh) - We Love Sweets Another scream singer but they are amazing. Wagakki Band - Senbonzakura (1,000 cherry blossoms) They use traditional Japanese instruments in addition to western ones. And my non-Japanese band. Did you know India has metal bands? Look for Bloodywood and their song Aaj. Don't worry, they sing in English and Hindi.

Nemophila were founded in 2019. They are a supergroup composed of: ex-Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Murata Tamu This is one of the bands to watch, no question. They just started in 2019 and are blowing up fast. As you can see from the gang vocals, they don't take themselves too seriously-Hazuki even winks. They almost seem to be enjoying a private joke, that goes "Hi, we're a bunch of cute, fun girls and we are going to rip your face off, and you are going to like it.” Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Mayu with some help from Saki, largely to keep busy in the early days of the pandemic. They started by posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. NEMOPHILA are hard and fluffy band that play in a variety of styles. You might enjoy their latest single, ODYSSEY; it’s an amazing 80’s-style power ballad.
