Now try her version of Sinnerman, Mississippi Goddamn, or just about anything else by her.
@Justaperson3542 жыл бұрын
In my opinion Nina’s sinnerman is the only version. She adds soul and her amazing piano talents that simply, again my opinion, are just unmatchable even by the original artist of the song. She made that song as far as I’m concerned

Her original versions of "Mississippi Goddamn" and "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" are such classics they need to be heard. But it's her cover of "My Baby Just Cares For Me" that she is most remembered for. One of the original strong black women who spoke out about the struggle. This song is a cover of the 1964 Anthony Newley song, but after her version everyone has since copied this arrangement. Nina made this Broadway song her own, and it became about the collective struggle of us black peoples around the world.
