Olivia Newton-John belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If Madonna, Michael Jackson, Abba, and Whitney Houston got on, Olivia definitely deserves to be in.

I was born in 1975. My mom was a huge ONJ fan, so I loved her from the moment I was born. By the time I went to first grade, I was madly in love with her and even had a Xanadu lunch box! She was my first and greatest celebrity crush of all time! I still can't believe she's gone. I hope you're at peace, ONJ.

As a pre-teen/teen male during the height of her career, she was a huge crush of mine as well. I really like her pre-Grease songs - she had a couple of #1 songs before Grease, her biggest was "I Honestly Love You." If you prefer more up-tempo songs, than "If You Love Me, Let Me Know" is a good early one. Anything off her first Greatest Hits is good to great in my opinion. Olivia had a crazy run of 7 straight #1 songs on the U.S. Adult Contemporary chart pre-Grease. She had amazing pitch, so seeing her live performances adds perspective on her talent.

My aunt was an ONJ fan and I remember listening to her music while she baby sat me in the early 70's. My first memories are of ONJ's earlier country albums... Let Me Be There; If You Love Me (Let Me Know); I Honestly Love You; Have You Never Been Mellow. A lot of her earlier songs that weren't hits are still my favorites because they have nostalgic place in my heart. I can say that even as a child under 5 years old, Olivia's voice had a calming effect on me that continues to this day. As I grew older, I learned more about her and heard more and more of her music. Grease put her in a different place in my world and she became an instant crush as I'm sure she did for many boys and girls at the time. Olivia's gifts to this world both in music and in spirit are indelible and her death palpable. I feel that when the world loses a soul as precious as she was, it is felt in our collective consciousness. Try songs like If Not For You and Follow Me. From the album Physical, try Falling and Carried Away.

Olivia has a duet with John Farnham, Please Dont Ask Me, from the Main Event concert. Worth checking out. Olivia and John were great buddies, had been since their 20's. They also did a duet for the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She was such a great person, so sad when she passed.
