Her absolute greatest live performance! Those flawless vocals! This is a prime example of when a live vocal performance is even better then the studio track.

My mistake "Sam" was released in January 1977 "Sam" as the third and final single from the Newton-John's eighth studio album, Don't Stop Believin' and peaked in the U.S. at number one on the Easy Listening chart and number twenty on the Hot 100.[4] It reached number six in the UK Singles Chart. Olivia was 31 when she recorded the live '82 music video. She was 32 when it was released. Olivia was 28 when she made 'Grease'.

🥹✨♥️💔 Her anniversary of her passing coming up. I'm listening to her songs. Bless her heart soul & voice🙏🏾
OLivia was almost versatile, you may heard from her: jazz (Cry me a river),, Bossa Nova (boy from ipanema- Vinicius de Moraes), Beatles covers (the long and winding road), Middle Age music (Greensleves), Clasical (Ave Maria-Schubert), soft rock (gimme dome lovin´), country (jolene, duet with Dolly Parton, both 72 years old), great ballads (don´t cry for me Argentina). She was too much for pop only.

Great reaction to the great ONJ. 🙏 She was a marvel and what a voice. She and Karen Carpenter were best friends from the 70’s. Last June I requested a reaction to a certain young lady singer. She covers both Karen and Olivia and does justice to both. Below I’m linking her short cover of Sam. I reminded you of the request and I hope you react to the Carpenters cover I linked under Karen/Ella. Her name is Tori Holub and you aren’t going to believe it. Also, NO autotune or pitch correction, a natural voice. Joe Sam: kzbin.infoWzrpXaZKT7Y?si=XCOpKZRfLQGjqVm8 .

Yes, our girl Olivia certainly was one of the best, pitch perfect and for someone known for her "breathy, light sound" she could sure belt when she wanted. If you though her vocals were insane on that one, then give a listen to her live version of "Jolene" from this same concert back in 1982 - it will give you goosebumps, I can guarantee it! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZu9aaOfjNylo6c
