I recommend “nobody’s home” is about when his relationship with his family was a little rockier. this song is when their relationship got better as taka got older and grew to respect his dad. I’m so sorry about your relationship with your dad. Your genuine feelings come through in your reactions and as you get to know more about One Ok Rock I’m glad we can get to learn about you as well! Much love to you ❤

💚💙 This is why you’re my favorite youtuber. Your sincerity really shines through and I admire your courage to be this open on your channel. I hope you know that you have our support. I for one really enjoyed this reaction. It’s a beautiful thing how Taka can bring out such an emotional response with his lyrics, isn’t it? Also, Vandalize sounds like a great next choice! I hope you do Your Tears Are Mine as well, they were in the same acoustic session so they should be in the same video out there. Yup, this is me casually hoping for two-in-one haha

Luke, I'm so sorry your relationship with your father is in a difficult and painful place. While the past can't change, take warmth thay you are doing right by your sons. Thank you for sharing your story with us and for moving forward with the reaction, I'm sure that was hard. Taka and his father went through a really rough patch and didn't talk for some time. He was kicked out of the house and disowned, but they later rebuilt their relationship. I hope the same can someday be said for you and your father. 🙏🏻💜

Luke, your genuine love for the band does certainly come through. Really appreciate your honest during these reactions, and as always I can’t wait for the next one. Taka’s relationship with his Dad wasn’t always like this. There was a period when they weren’t speaking to each other as well. Hope the best for you and your family, and that time heals these deep wounds. 🙏 I would suggest that if you’re doing the Vandalize studio jam, then please do the other song that’s with it, Your Tears Are Mine. Taka’s vocals on that song are a totally different level. 👍👍 Cheers!

Luke, I really appreciate you being so transparent with your reactions and explaining a bit about your situation regarding your father. I've had some personal realities and issues as a child with my paternal side of the family, so I've adopted a different perspective/approach since he was never the type to admit his own faults or shortcomings even after I turned into adulthood. In the end, I just promised myself I'll never allow myself to become anything like this man, and in the process I've grown from a very shy, scared, sheltered, timid, weak child to someone who is less shy, independent, more vocal and one with a strong will inside. Although I had a difficult childhood, I wouldn't be who I am if I didn't have all these hurdles to overcome some of the toughest part of growing up. The harsh reality may be that you may never come to terms with your father (though I'd be delighted if I'm wrong), but I hope you find a few personal blessings of your own that emerged despite it all. IMHO, you're a hard-working, heart-warming, funny, energetic, and loving person just watching you here on YT, hence why I subscribed and always give you a thumbs up!

I'm so sorry for the way your dad has treated you... As a teenage girl, I also was "hard to love" by my Dad, but he was ALWAYS there for me. I'm now 66 and miss him more than anything... I'm so grateful I had such an honorable man as a role model. By the way he treats you, you know how to be a wonderful father to your children! Don't allow his toxic nature in you life any longer, I had wiped my mother right out of my life because of this, and I'm happier because of it.

I feel you. I have a distant relationship with my dad, too. He became an alcoholic early in my childhood and I always resented him for his behaviors. He didn't even know which school I was attending, or remember my birthday. I'm happy Taka has supportive parents, even when he felt like (as a teen) that they didn't, they always were concerned only about his future and happiness. And probably those times were the push Taka needed to grow up. He said himself that he was a cocky rich kid, with an attitude and that experience of having to work hard for so little money, changed his attitude and humbled him. If he hadn't run away, probably he would have ended up as a lot of celebrity kids: addicted to alcohol and drugs. It was difficult for him to step out of his famous parents' shadow. It's great to see such stories as it reinforces the idea that not all fathers are like mine.

I have a love-hate relationship with my father. When I was really little, I was always with my father. There are so many pictures of him and I together, I was his "Heavy Duty House Mouse" (my nickname is Mouse). He's the one who chose my name, even though my mother wanted something else. Then at some point, things changed. It suddenly felt like I was just another one of his kids, pushed aside because I wasn't his perfect eldest daughter and I wasn't one of HIS BOYS. I was the quirky, artsy, imaginative child who wanted to do big, cool things when I grew up. Things he deemed "unrealistic". It didn't help that he ignored the abuse I received from my elder brother. When I was a teen I moved in with one of my friends for about a year or so, and even before and after that I spent most my time with her family instead of my own. As an adult, there are days when he and I get along super well, and I have a lot of fun. However, my father is also a cruel, inconsiderate man when he wants to be. I have been called so many names and been belittled so often. It's only happened a few times in my life, but he has also gotten physical; slaps and throwing things at me. Then I put on some weight due to a health issue, and he makes it a point to say I'm not his trim daughter anymore. I have said in a previous comment that when he pushes me to tears, he calls me a "wimp" or a "p****" and often laughs at me. So I have gotten to the point where I hold back my tears and just walk away. I'm still waiting for my "Hard to Love" song moment, where he and I can mend things...but I don't know if it will ever happen. I just want you and other people in the comment section to know that none of us are alone in our pain. There will always been someone who understands what you're feeling/going through. :)

I am so sorry to hear you go through all of this. It is strange how much we change our views of our parents when we grow up. The fog is lifted and we see them for who they are inside. It is heartbreaking but as many people have said we shouldn't let them define us. We are our own people and can start fresh by learning from the mistakes of them. Much love to you! ❤❤

@@GOTGames Thank you so much :D It doesn't get to me as badly as it used to. I can at least thank him for teaching me not to treat people the way he does lol. Our fathers may be jerks, but we are awesome!

I'll say it now, like I have many times before. The lyrics of this band are incredible, I feel exposed, hold, seen and somehow loved by every single one of this songs. This song put me to tiers the first time I heard it, imagine young girl on a bus crying like if someone had died, but anyways this band is just amazing, the team behind on production is just great, I dont know how this band have gone for all of this time out of radar almost, is just shocking that this are not worldwide recognized songs. However I love how appreciated all of their music have been lately. Keep reacting, I would love to watch it all.

love this band there songs come from their souls but wanted to say to you personally since i have dysfunctional family and havent socialized with my parents for over 20 years can i say what i believe about these situations, parents make adult chooses about how they treat and what they say to children, we as children make none and if you can get to the point where you believe that you are a decent human being and deserve to occupy the space the universe gave you and except that your parents dont love you and that is their right and their choose to make life gets alot easier and its ok i dont miss my parents at all because they have nothing positive to add to my life i hope you too learn to let it go and find happiness in those around you who do love you and appreciate you and for me what was important is that im not a great parent but that i try to do better as a parent than my did for me so a) im trying to break the cycle and b) children should always be loved and respected
