Hey Polo, man I saw Sabbath live in 1976, one of my best musical experiences of all time, Ozzy was an off the charts front man, Tony Iommi the riff master, Geezer Butler on bass and Bill Ward on drums. This band has influenced the masses for over 6 decades.Glad to see you appreciate their music!

What makes this song so epic isn't just the music, but the story behind it. Ozzy & Co got jumped in an alley while on tour, calling Ozzy a whole bunch of names and mugging him, so Ozzy wrote this song as a form of revenge.

The one thing that has ALWAYS amazed me after ALL the reactions and probably 40 years of listening to this song is the fact that NO ONE, NOT ONE PERSON has ever commented or questioned that he was walking home late one night and walked up to someone's house and peeped in the window. Hilarious. What ? That's what Ozzy does man. God bless the prince of darkness. Seen him 4 times live. Including Randy Rhodes last show I believe. I know he passed about 2 weeks after we saw him. Ozzy always leaves everything on the stage. Never takes anything home. He loves his fans as much as we love him.

I really was lucky enough to be born and bred in Birmingham (England)and a youngster when Sabbath started off.... they completely set the tone for metal bands for evermore.....there was nothing or nobody like them. I saw them loads of times and I swear I've never seen anyone hit the drums so hard as Bill did. Nice shot of the end caps on Toni Iommi's severed fingertips. Sabbath had a lot of bluesy songs - their original plan was to be a blues band called 'Earth'. They weren't drawing the crowds that they would have liked, and one day they saw a line of people strung around the block waiting to get into the Boris Karloff scary movie 'Black Sabbath'. They decided to make 'scary music', changed their name to 'Black Sabbath', invented heavy metal, and the rest is history.
