"Dimebag" Darrell Abbot, Guitarist, RIP, dude was shot on stage during a performance, his older brother Vinnie Paul Abbot Drummer, RIP, died a couple of years ago, Rex Brown, Bass player, and Philip Anselmo, vocalist, they were the origin of Groove Metal in the late 80s and early 90s, Dime and Vinnie were a musical force, may they Rock in Paradise.

Guitarist is Dime Bag Darrel . He was shot on stage during a show in front of his brother Vinnie Paul who's the drummer.. .And his brother died a short while after. Such a tragedy.... Primal concrete slave live is a good live one, same concert, different song... R.I.P. Dime Bag you and your brother will never be forgotten! Some of the greatest talent to ever exist right there. The legend on 🎸 is the late great 'Dimebag Darrell'.... After the break-up of Pantera. Dimebag and the drummer, who's also his brother Vinny Paul, went on to form another band called 'Damageplan'. And in 2004, a deranged Pantera fan stormed the stage of a Damageplan concert. And shot killed Dimebag, shooting him 4 times in the back of his head. The shooter also shot and killed 4 other people, before finally being put down himself by a police officer. Dimebag was and still is one of the greatest guitarist in Rock 'n' Roll!! He's a true legend!! RIP Dimebag!

I saw PANTERA in 2000 for their Reinventing the Steel tour. No one stirred up a crowd more than PANTERA. The entire Denver Coliseum bum-rushed security on a hive-mind countdown to access the pit (you needed a "pit-pass" to enter) because the crowd was so hyped and wanted to mosh. I was already in the pit when this happened. I won't lie, I got the hell outta there! It was literally a hazard zone. I missed at least two songs simply finding safe ground. Hahaha...

Dimebag Darrell is the guitar player a friend of mine along with his brother Vinnie Paul on drums from the Dallas Ft. Worth area in Texas. Dime was one of the all time greats not only as a guitar player but a person. He died tragically in Columbus, Ohio in 2004 on stage when a deranged guy jumped on stage and started shooting him and others, four people were killed including another friend of mine we called Mayhem. This was for their new band Damageplan that they started after Phil Anselmo left Pantera. If you look up Dimebag shooting on KZbin there is some actual footage and interviews about what had happened. Very sad day for many friends and fans.

That amazing guitarist was Darrell Lance Abbott, who went by "Dimebag Darrell". Unfortunately, in 2004, someone from the audience climbed onstage and shot him multiple times. A security guard and a fan from the audience were killed as well trying to stop the shooter. Dimedag died on that stage.

This is part of the "Monsters of metal tour in moscow 1991- headlined AC/DC with Metallica, Pantara, The black crows. History for you , this is the first time metal bands were allowed to tour in Russia after the collaspe of the USSR in 1991. Silimlar to woodstock they expected around 100.000 people and got 1.6 million poeple in attendence.

This was in 91 and was the first concert in Russia for western bands. It was held at a closed down military base and was free. There were 1.6 million people at that concert. Metallica gets the most attention for that concert but AC/DC and The Black Crowes also played.
