Her body of work from classical to jazz to fusion to RandB/ is all par excellence - As a multiinstrumentalist, composer, arranger, film scorer, and Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Patrice has done it all. That includes being the first African American woman to musically direct major award shows including the Grammys and NAACP Image Awards. She is currently the Chair of Popular Music at USC and an Ambassador of Music at Berklee College. In a word, my dear friend is, "Genius". And yes, she still tours!

Kirk Franklin sampled her song haven’t you heard. She was also the first female and African-American music Director for the Emmy awards back in 1995. She is a jazz master, Composer and Doctorate of music. She did a lot of collaboration with prince back in the day. An outstanding Pianist and Keyboardist.
