What a lot of people don't mention is that this was recorded on the same day as All about the bass, especially noticeable with the band wearing the same outfits It was a day off during their European tour in Zurich

Haley is magnificent! PMJ does the best arrangements. Haley performs several other songs with PMJ. Morgan James also performs with PMJ and she’s also amazing. And this comes from someone who rarely likes female vocalists. If you haven’t completed your rabbit hole yet, Haley came in 3rd on her season of American Idol. She and Casey Abrams, another AI contestant, did some really fun jazz arrangements on the show. Casey also pops up in PMJ videos occasionally both for vocals and stand up bass. Haley sings in multiple genres, but jazzy blues is her sweet spot.

another nice reaction shawka... i had missed it but traced back from your "seven nations army" one from yesterday. as a long time music fan of various genres, i came across haley reinhart during the pandemic and still have not recovered. she is one the greatest, most unique vocalist of our time. all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: "all about the bass", "habits", "black hole sun", "mad world", "oops i did it again", "lovefool" and the more recent "don't speak" which has 60's james bond vibe. i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing silk to sandpaper voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little of her unique vocal acrobatics, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her solo platinum cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like here: (kzbin.info/www/bejne/laaxoXiYqZyqldE )... 😎

Yes, the one and only take. But she wasn't sick - just tired. There's a video on PMJ's channel where Scott talks about capturing lightining in a bottle with this recording.

You should take a look at Pau’s version. She is the drummer for the Warning. It’s on their KZbin Page. It was an Instagram challenge. She posted like 4 songs to pick from this one won. She ended her Instagram Live, and a few hours later she uploaded the video. Also for a “production” version there is Josie and Mimi, from the Voice Kids Germany. As far as PMJ. There is Aerosmith’s Dream On by PMJ featuring Morgan James.
