There has never been a band like Queen and there never will be. Watch their 21 mins from Live Aid. It's incredible. Queen is incredible.

Here are some suggestions. Keep in mind that Queen’s studio versions are almost always a bit different than live performances and songs will vary from concert to concert. Queen never wanted to do do their live performances like the studio because they figured fans could stay home and listen to the album and they wanted to give a concert worthy of the ticket price. Some epic performances: Somebody to Love live at Montreal. White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Under Pressure, Love of my Life and Now I’m Here live at Wembley 1986. Tie Your Mother Down the July 12th performance at Wembley and watch the audience. Keep Yourself Alive, Dragon Attack, Another One Bites the Dust and Save Me live at Montreal. Who Wants to Live Forever live at Budapest.

That intro isn’t the group, that’s Freddie on his own multi tracked

The beginning is Fred harmonizing with himself.

The a cappella intro harmonies are all the lead singer (and writer of this song) , Freddie Mercury, overdubbing each part. The operatic section is comprised of over 180 multi tracks of their voices to achieve the effect of a chorus. This song consists of four instruments, three voices, a gong performed by four talented geniuses. "Killer Queen" finally put them on the map but BoRhap shot them into the stratosphere where they stay to this day! RIP, darling Freddie. (And, John, we miss you!)

This was my first Queen song! My dad played me this when I was fairly young, maybe 5/6 in the mid 90s. The dark stuff went way over my head, but I thought the operatic part was so funny, I made him replay it over and over! Needless to say, I’ve known the lyrics by heart for most of my life

I remember this coming out back in the 70s and I loved it because I'm a 'words' person, so the opera section especially appealed to me. So many gorgeous words that just roll off their tongues like honey. Welcome to the Queen rabbit hole. Keep going down it and you'll learn that you never know what they're going to come up with next. Surprises all the way.

If I remember correctly, it cost Queen $4k to make the video for Bohemian Rapshody at that time. It would only cost $23k today. But MTV and radio stations didn't want to play a song that was 6 minutes long. Only until requests came pouring in did they start to play the song and show the video.

Thanks, Lil - this was recorded in 1975.. .so, videos were pretty lame.. but almost 50 years ago, Queen had the incredible talent and recording organization to do this very complicated composition... (p.s. don't mock guitarist Brian May's hair.. he never had a "perm" - just grew out that way.. still has it, but now it's silver/white.. lol) Most of the harmonies in this particular song are Freddie Mercury..but Brian on guitar and Roger on drums also sang quite often.. especially in this one... hope you listen & react to more.. I'm sure you know quite a few Queen songs that you don't know are by them.. what about "We will Rock you/We are the Champions" or "Another one Bites the Dust"? "Don't Stop me Now?" lol

They all wrote number one hits. The only group to achieve that. Additionally they are all in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

They all wrote songs which charted. Each was inducted to the writers hall of fame. You have to watch them live they are so much better. My girdt song was Keep yourself alive,which was their first release. The song that made me a life long fan was Liar from the girdt album. The live performance at yhe Rainbow London in 74 was 8 minutes of bliss each had a solo and that twists and turns too. They never sat in one box of music they did rock thrash metal, vauadaville,blues jazz funk and Freddie (the lead singer) even sang opera!. Blessings from England xx

While it's true you need to pause most videos to avoid getting them blocked, this is not the case with Queen. They do not block their official videos. in other words, no need to pause Queen videos that are from their official channel.
@Mikey-DiLo2 ай бұрын
I heard the Live Aid video from the Queen Official channel is the only one that will get blocked because it is not technically their video.

I have been following this band since they dropped their first album, I love them, still my favorite band. There are so many covers of this song, everybody has covered it. The guitar player with the big hair is Brian May and he still has that hair but it is all white now but he still has the sweetest tone on his guitar. Freddie Mercury (singer/piano) wrote this one but he and Brian were the primary songwriters in this band, though all four members are songwriters, each have number 1 songs (the only rock band to have done that) and each of them is in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. The amount of talent in this band is amazing. I am not sure I have a favorite Queen song, it just depends on my mood really. Their catalog has over 200 songs. My favorite performance is always live and my favorite live is White Queen Live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. I think you will love that performance, it is outstanding by every band member. Thank you for your reaction.

I first heard Queen when I was in high school. The song was Killer Queen. It was on the album before this. When this album came out it a lot of people didn’t get it but kids like me just loved it. Queen spanned genres. They were glitter rock, art rock and the hard rock kids loved them too. They were just great at what they did. You have probably heard We Are The Champions and not known who they were. You could literally go to their KZbin page and pick one and not be disappointed. They also had a wicked sense of humor. Songs like Fat Bottomed Girls and Bicycle are romps. Enjoy

Queen is the most culturally relevant band that has ever existed probably in history there are in commercials movies of course music sports events. I guarantee you you have heard queen before and Freddie Mercury who is the lead singer? His voice has been studied by professionals and analyzed. He’s one of the top front men and singers of all time and I hope you check outmore of their music. Each member has written top performing songs and has contributed substantially to music of all kinds anyway thanks for your review.

This is a great prog rock masterpiece with ground breaking video but Queen were also a great live band. Check out Somebody To Love @Montreal 1981.

I loved your reaction. If you want to go to near the beginning of queen there is 'March of the Black Queen' which is often considered a precursor to BoRhap. There is only a lyric video for this. Then there is White Queen (as it Began) Live at the Odeon Hammersmith. A lot of reactors move on to Somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981, which I think is one of my favourites and really shows their skills as a live performance band. I am sure you will have heard their big hits without knowing it was them.... Another One Bites the Dust, We are the Champions, We will Rock you, etc. There is the best ever live performance by a band (IMO) at the Live Aid Concert at Wembley in 1985. Its 20 minutes long but you need to do that all in one reaction. They stole the show from all the others... Elton John, Dire Straights etc who also played this charity concert which was broadcat simultaneously in Philadephia and all over the world. Finally... Rest in Peace Freddie, you live on in all your Music.

The songs are all written by them, each one wrote a song and submitted it to the others to listen to, and all together decided whether to publish it or not. Bohemian Rapsody was written by Freddy Mercury in 1975!
@JARBIS1002 ай бұрын
This song is from 1975. The truth about its meaning has never been known, but in one of the most "true" hypotheses, it is supposed that the man killed by Freddy is himself, he was declaring his homosexuality to the world, so he apologized to his mother for killing the man she herself had brought into the world, to become a different man, in the second and third part of the song he first talks about society's rejection of Gays, and in the final part he finally accepts himself and his sexuality with peace and serenity. A little anecdote, given that the song lasted 6 minutes, (double the standard of the 70s) the record company and the producer had rejected the song, it was only after Freddy and the rest of the group threatened to split up, that the Producer and the record company agreed to produce Bohemian Rapsody, thus electing QUEEN to legend of world music!

Hey bro, Don't think about those who complain, the beauty of video reactions is the real-time reaction, and you can't postpone that to the end of the video. So you have to stop and react live without problems!
