Definite proof that Queen and their music had (and still does) an almost magical effect on people and the soul! Brian May still sings this song solo in honor of Freddie and encourages the crowd to join in. He'd say "don't be shy" and also encourage everyone to get out their iphone lights reminiscent of back in the day when people held lighters. Near the end, a video of Freddie from this appears on a screen and sings the last part. Almost after every time, Brian would be seen wiping away a tear in honor of his friend and brother in arms and probably so touched that people still go nuts for Queen.

When I saw Queen perform this song live, the effect on the crowd was exactly the same, despite there being 66,000 fewer people in the audience. Freddie could mesmerize any audience, any time, anywhere. Hearing this song today takes me back to high school, and my first serious girlfriend, who was an absolute Queen fanatic. I took her to see them on the Night At The Opera tour, and that night as a whole and this song in particular were magical. Thank you for reminding my heart.

my father took me to this concert I was 14 at the time and I was blown away by queens performance which has never been beaten. So sad that no one knew how sick Freddie was. RIP 🙏 freddy.

Love Of My Life is an early Queen song. In the last video Freddie ever recorded with Queen on a song called These Are The Days Of Our Lives, Freddie once again sang "I still love you" at the very end. In the video of the song Freddie is in very rough shape and can barely stand on his feet. But you should watch it as it was Freddie saying "goodbye".

The difference in your tone before and then after watching Freddie do his thing, you could see how you chilled as you were drawn in by the beauty of the melody and the symbiotic connection between him and the crowd.
