This is a beautiful song written by Brian May chronicling the struggles that Freddie was facing with his illness. At this point he was too sick to do a video so they made a video that compiled old music videos and clips from concerts over the years. Freddie’s voice is still magnificent considering how ill he was ❤

„That track was strange - recalls Brian. I did the most of the lyrics for Freddie to sing and you can imagine what that felt like. I did ask him at one point if he was okay about it and he said, Yeah, totally okay about it. I will give it my all. And he did. He sang, I think, some of the best vocals of his life on that track, and most of the tracks on that album are incredible. He really was getting very weak by that time, but he could still summon up that strength to sing.” He was a musician and performer from top to toe.

This song was on their 1991 album, Innuendo. At the time of release, Freddie was ill but still with us.

WOW fits perfectly, I can't imagine the inner strength it took for Freddie to sing as brilliantly as he did no matter how difficult it was. Although on another level, Freddie was dealing with a throat infection when he nailed "Live Aid " the greatest 20 minutes in musical history This is why Freddie is a legend, and will always be loved forever ❤👑🌈 I enjoy watching your reactions, I find myself feeling better and uplifted,.🫶

Brian May noted, “He never moaned, he never said ‘my life is s##t, this is terrible, I hate it.’ … He had an incredible strength & peace.” In 2005, a poll by digital TV channel Music Choice where 45K adults across Europe were asked which song they would like played at their funeral, this was the favorite!! 😢

This song came out while Freddie was still alive. It was on the Innuendo album that was released February 1991 and Freddie died in November 1991. He was very ill at the time, though. Innuendo is a great song you should react to as well and Days of Our Lives, written by Roger Taylor initially for his children but the video has Freddie saying goodbye to his fans. Brian was worried that Freddie was too weak to sing Show Must Go On but Freddie found the strength inside to make this one of Queen's greatest songs. After the Innuendo album was finished Freddie asked everyone to write him as much music as they could and he would do 3 takes of everything. They released a final album after Freddie died in 1995 called Made in Heaven.

Yes they put clips together. Freddie made this song before he died but it was presented after his death. It was performed at his Tribute Concert ❤❤❤❤

No he didnt. It was Winters Tale that was one take. It was an extraordinarily high vocal in a verse in TSMGO that Freddie smashed.... Brian said to Freddie he didn’t think he would be able to do that particular line, but Freddie replied with "I'll f'ing do it darling" then downed a vodka and completely lacerated that vocal. 😉

@@piskipeti yes he did. Watch Brian talking about it in Days of our Lives documentary. It was the one high noted line that Brian talked about that Freddie went on to take a shot of vodka and said I'll f'in do it darling" and Brian said, he completely lacerated that vocal. I did comment before my reply appears to have disappeared so I have now commented again.

Thanks NeverEnd... this is an amazing song - the video is obviously a compilation of previous ones.. Fred was too ill at this point to perform on video or live... Brian wrote this (mostly)... and wondered if Freddie could sing it... he totally nailed it!... one of his last and best...

Written by Brian this song paints a picture of how he was feeling about Freddie's illness and how brave Freddie was until the end. Brian said that he had an image of a sad clown who painted a big smile on his face for his audience. I think that those were Brian's feelings about himself as he was not taking the impending loss of not only his friend and brother, Freddie but also the end of Queen. With losing those two things, Brian pretty much would have lost everything. The band was the most consistent and longest relationship that three of the band members ever had, with Roger and Brian already divorced and Freddie having searched for love for most of his life. Only John remained married and who is still married to his wife Veronica. Freddie was too sick when they recorded this song for him to do a video. At this point, he was having difficulty even standing up.

Freddie found it very hard to stand up at that time. He told Brian “ bring me the vodka “ he took three shots , and went for it ., and those notes that came out of his body …..Other Worldly
