Doesn’t get any better than Freddie & the piano!! 150K hold their breath during this performance!! When I watch it I don’t breathe either! Simply breathtaking (no puns intended … well maybe). 😊 Anyway, written by Freddie for that special someone (David Minns). You should also react to the studio version the complete masterpiece with its layered harmonies! Gorgeous! 💐🌷🌿

The amazing thing about Freddie is that you can feel his emotions when he sings he’s that powerful absolutely brilliant man what a beautiful soul we lost way to soon ♥️

:) not recorded yet, this was a bit different in lyric and ending from the album version. This is stripped, raw & hauntingly beautiful. Many prefer the official one due to Freddie's layering of his voice in vocal harmonies. But this one is my favorite. Simply stunning.

The album version is stellar on the harmonies but the sheer intensity of this performance wins my heart. Glad this won you over too.

So exquisite, there was around 200,000 people at this free concert and as the song progresses it is so quiet as they listen to this man pour out his heart.

You only really start to understand and appreciate Queen when you explore the album tracks. The shear variety of sounds and styles is awesome.

Freddie wrote this straight from his heart and soul. He was a fantastic lyricist and composer along with being a great musician, vocalist and artist. Thank you so much for reviewing this. There are so many early songs that are raw emotion that mellows out some in later years. Liar live at the Rainbow 1974, along with Seven Seas of Rhye, Stone Cold Crazy, You're My Best Friend and both In the Lap of the Gods and In the Lap of the Gods Revisited are all very amazing to watch live, from 1974 and 1975. Please also add Freddie's Top of the Pops performance of Killer Queen.

This video is truly a master class in how to perform a song. First, Freddie’s breath control is simply staggering. He makes it look so easy, but it’s really not (and keep in mind that this is a live performance in the middle of a concert.) Next, he had an unmatched ability to present a lyric with deliberate, controlled phrasing to get the meaning of a song across to the listener, no matter what kind of song it was. This song requires a level of skill in that regard which few people have or use. Despite the slower pace of this song, he keeps you hanging on his every note, his every word, his every phrase, to see what he is going to sing next. And, Freddie knew exactly how to form vowel sounds and pronounce words to full effect-to pull the listener in to the emotions in the song’s story, as if he is communicating directly to each of us, individually, while he is singing this song. If this performance doesn’t touch your soul or if you don’t get goosebumps several times while listening to this song-you probably should see a doctor cuz there is probably something wrong with you!

Freddie had the magic. Voice, feeling. I miss him so much. And I am so grateful that Queen is continuing with the extraordinary talent of Adam Lambert. I don't believe there is anyone who could support the legacy as he does.

Thanks for listening to Freddie's amazing love song, which is able to touch everybody's heart. There is the recorded version with the beautiful Queen harmonies, but I prefer this pure and simple performance. This lyric doesn't need anything more than Freddie’s voice and his piano play. Freddie ensured us a small insight into the soul of Farrokh Bulsara. Pls, check out Breakthru and I Want It All.

I absolutely love this performance. Thank you. This song was written by Freddie but because it hadn't been recorded yet, Freddie was the only one in the band that knew the song so he did it solo.

I love this performance, though I do wish someone would get the rights to the video and put out a higher quality version. So much emotion and there is something about when Freddie accompanies himself; his voice and the piano are like one instrument. I also like the way he tells the audience to be quiet and listen. This concert was free and over 150,000 people showed up so it must have been really crazy. The album version is good too, with some nice harmony vocals. But I did sit down and really look at the lyrics once and it sounds like a stalker -- kinda creepy.
