My sister committed suicide in 1991. I feel your pain. I don’t think any song would have made a difference in her case, but I’m grateful for the people that music has saved. Families shouldn’t have to go through that. Ever. I have the same tendencies, I think. The best advice I was given is that ‘Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem’. I’ve always tried to remember that. Peace and love to you all. 💖💜☮️✌️🌸💔

So they filmed this video showing people's faces with their thoughts below..It's a gorgeous film, and thank goodness for subtitles!

I love this song. So important to know that everyone has dark nights of the soul. When we're in them, we're so convinced that we are alone and that feeling of isolation adds so much to our pain. Thank you for pointing out that we should be checking on each other. Especially in these times that are so desperate and hard. We have to encourage each other and keep each other going. We can regain everything else that we lose -- but we can't get back people that are lost. Don't give up on yourself, don't give up on each other. Helping each other is the only thing that eases the pain. Thanks for spreading the message, Jayvee. Love your heart :)

I love how powerful music is. How it can reach inside of us and connect us. My dad really finds expressing emotion hard, but we communicate a lot through sharing songs. It started when I was in hospital for almost two years and in a very dark isolated place metaphorically and literally and he sent me this song. I honestly am not a crier (to my frustration sometimes), but this song now breaks me every time because it carries my dad's love to me and makes me feel understood and held by him. What a man. I'm incredibly grateful for him and this song.

People have made certain that others needs were met, ordinary people got together to care for the elderly and the vulnerable on their area, so uplifting in these difficult times I have loved this song ever since I first heard it, I have problems with my mental health and I rarely cry but I know how important letting our emotions out is. Thank you for playing this, if you listen to the words and take the time to think about the meanings I find it helps in tough times. I have always loved this song! Back in the day, it was the vehicle by which some much pent up pain was released. Too bad you didn't have the video, it's unique and beautifully illustrates the song.

Amazing song, utterly poignant. I'm glad you got to hear it. You should see the video clip though, it is pretty cool

You’re such a decent guy. Your sincerity and encouragement really underscores that message REM‘s putting out there. Keep on keeping on.

Instant tears cuz it brings back painful memories. But when done you feel better, almost as if he singing just to me. R.E.M., songs are beautiful; miss them.
