When you inevitably check out Chinchilla's solo catalog, I suggest the live version of 'Fingers' (live for HungerTV). It is a stripped down masterpiece that left me speechless. I was literally staring at the screen afterward trying to process what I just watched. Then I watched it like five more times in a row.

This one hit me hard. “Scared of being ok cause all things change”…almost defines my addiction. Even on days where everything seems to be ok, I must indulge because I don’t think that will endure.

Yes definitely same thing here that line punched me in the face. It's crazy here in an artist tell you your life and their song Sometimes. And there's bits and pieces of anything you listen to I love music

I agree. Always been suspect if medication. My favorite modern day philosopher is Aldous Huxley and he warned us in a Brave New World. The plan was a century ago for the pharmaceutical companies to make useless robots that tolerated life.

So as someone who has suffered with addiction and mental illnesses this song not only absolutely nails everything about both of those issues it’s crazy how much a song can not only make you feel happy, sad, smile, cry but it’s like it’s my life in a song

❤❤ if I may... IDK if you know...Ren was misdiagnosed for YEARS and was prescribed meds that caused horrible side effects ( psychosis a lot of the time) but I believe he was trying to do with the doctors wanted him to. Things were finally figured out and it turns out he had Lyme's disease for years... It's a horrible debilitating disease caused by the bite from an infected tick😢. But anyway I love your reactions man you have a perfect balance of talk and listen❤❤❤

Great reaction! , it's how the meds numb, serve as distractions but don't fix the real problem when you're walking around dead inside. Gotta check out "how to be me" live.they duet again. It's a great song. As one who lives this,it hits home. A Lot. You're afraid of change because all things change. Chronic illnesses and cherophobia go hand in hand.they represented beautifully

This song is about SSRI psych meds, they deaden the feelings people have in an effort to get over whatever problems they are experiencing. This song captures my experience with these meds…

Ren is such an amazing discovery and blessed with such a talent it is off the scale...Chinchilla is definitely from a similar mould, their chemistry is scary in such a magical way. This is my favourite song of the last 10 years for sure. Love your reaction as well.

The gallows standing on tip toes line ……lost it big time then got the double whammy with scared of being ok (scared it won’t last because it never does)….ugly cried. I’ve never heard any artist so poetically and viscerally capture the essence and nature of ‘The struggle’. He’s special and I haven’t said that about an artist since I discovered Bowie back in the day. Great reaction. Cheers!

Keep going with Ren. You should watch some of his shorts to learn about what he's dealing with. But songs are meant to be about what they mean to you. But you are just starting every time I click on another one of his videos, I'm surprised and stunned all over again. Oh yeah. Dude the hunger and losing it. Lol u bout to get your mind blown out!

"I'm scared of being okay 'cause all things change" hits as I'm fed up with my depression and wish I was different, but I've adapted. Any change from the middle, up or down, spikes my anxiety. And what if I get better, but then get sick again? It's terrifying.

This song was written and recorded by country singer John Anderson, who is from Florida "Seminole Wind - John Anderson/Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road" This song is about the native Americans (Seminoles) in Florida and lyrics reference the Siminole war chief "Osceola" whose ghost cries out over the destruction of natural resources for financial gain. Still relevant to this day!

"Scared of being ok cuz all things change" for me too is a reference to addiction, but also talks about mental health and medication. He was misdiagnosed as bipolar, before they found it was lyme disease. You can feel ok for a day or so and maybe feel like you dont need the meds. But actually you have to keep taking it. Either because you actually need it, the extreme low will hit after the good days. Or, because youre now dependant on the meds, and the withdrawl will send you in a tailspin... My mom was diagnosed bipolar. And I was also misdiagnosed over 10yrs ago.

A lot of folks who must take meds to maintain an even keel stop taking meds when they feel better. Only to have the symptoms return. It's such a beautiful day take it just in case. I'm scared of being okay cause all things change.

This song goes way beyond pills or medications. So many of us are afraid when things are good, whether it be with work, in relationships, financially, anything. So we act out in damaging ways which sabotage the good times because we anticipate those good times ending anyway, and getting used to the good times and having to lose them is what we’ve been used to, so we preemptively make it happen, anyway. We push it all down with a new habit…whether it be drugs, alcohol, sex, a new hobby, or anything we can find that distracts us from facing and addressing the realities of our true condition. That’s why this hits so hard. Everyone can relate, to some degree or another.

Ok I'll tell you what I think What is one to do I wanna be me but if i go to them they'll erase me What am i to do i broke my skull all the states cavalry and all the states infantry cant make it full. What can we do when we've lost our heads and all they wanna do is fill it with meds. I serve to free you won't anyone free me? Greetings to you from the US Army 3rd Infantry. That's how I felt when I heard it I wrote it down but you asked so I'll post it for you. blessings from Puerto Rico.
