he jumped off the speakers and beat the shit out of someone and we loved every F'in minute of it. This is what gen-x did on the weekends for fun. I was at the Ritz for this show, I took 17 stiches for this and loved every second of it...still have the scar on my chin, wear it with pride....HARD CORE FOR LIFE!

Bill Milano is best friends with the singer of my band, Functional Idiots. He came up to see us at collage and met our frat, Pi Alpha Nu. He was rather impressed and wrote a song about us. Billy’s other band, MOD, did a cover of one of our songs, He’s Dead, Jim. It was the best of times.

Filmed at the Ritz. The Mecca of 80s-90s Thrash and Hardcore in NY/NJ. I've seen so many great bands there. My first show at the Ritz was the Superbowl of Hardcore. It was insane. Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera, Exodus.....it was beautiful. Came home with a broken thumb and a concussion. Awesome night.

Great! Haha..I feel like daddy here! All memories around about this. When I was about 20 I did my swedish military service and borrowed some LPs from a dudu there. Among those this one...M.O.D, Acid Reign and I think also Nuclear Assault. I many of those bands LPs and later CDs. I suppose you like Acid Reign too? "Only your mother truly loves you....Norman.." 😀

Good to see you bringing your boy up right, he seems to respect elders. Kids today know what good music is, they just need a nudge in the right direction! Head Bangers Ball with the olde trains colliding to this tune was must see TV for us older bangers'!

This is why people didn't mess with NYC in the 1980's.

Dan Lilker was one of the original bass players in Anthrax - which he's why he's in this band. Billy is an ex-bouncer than stopped the other three from getting their asses whooped at a hardcore show at (I forget the club) but somewhere like CBGB's. They figured you don't need to be pavarotti to sing in this band so they asked him if he wanted the gig.

"metal at it's finest" - damn right man, you couldn't get away with this shit any more lol. This and the live vid of Gung Ho from Anthrax really show how far we have fallen when it comes to just being able to go fucking apeshit at a metal concert!!!
@hankscorpio61118 ай бұрын
I don't know how I wound up here but.. I was at this concert! I had never heard of SOD before but.. I never forgot that night because of this!! A lot of crazy stuff went down that night that isn't shown on the video footage. I was near where the cigar landed in the crowd.

stop bending the knew. did you need people to show you how to react to something to sort it into cool or not cool!? I tell you what if we dont "influence" the people to stop watching that Cow Chew, although he knew the hookline of the group shout, we will end up in a even more morbid nightmare in which everyone needs a godfather of opinion to baptize his or her views.

Billie was pretty hardcore, he was the bassist in a punk band and Scott and I think Charlie asked him to join them in this side project and it united the punk and metal scenes who were usually enemies before.

Was there. Man, nothing like those times. Hockey players with no teeth, moshers who walked away with their war wounds as badges of honor. And deafness for days. Came with a weapon? Check it in & pick it up with your ticket when you left. Watched police, fire, ambulances passing by. And NOTHING! Not a sound. Deaf for 2 days.
