P.S: An additional note about the ending of Cinema verité: you got that right too, the sound effect is taken from the iconic film "Gilda" (whose story takes place in Buenos Aires) which serves as a transition to the next song and then the one after it in which that the famous slap scene, dubbed into Spanish, introduces a short and funny song in smooth latin-funk mood that ironizes about the sad feelings of sexist possession of a dear friend of Charly ("Salir de la melancolia").

Pedro Aznar, bajista, dejó Seru para tocar con Pat Metheny en los 80. Seru Giran decidió no seguir sin Pedro y ese fue el final de la magia.

Hi Brandon, once again, great musical and lyrical analysis... About "Cinema verité" (and as you observed) I would describe it as a visit to an earthly paradise traveled by a couple with an un-original sin, in which the narrator plays the role of unobserved observer. About other songs I would insist on "Autos, jets, aviones, barcos" (1978) and then "Perro andaluz" (1979). I think that between the two they can put together a very good combo. Then, sooner or later, you will have to react to "A los jóvenes de ayer" as you have probably already been told. 👍

Escucha (aunque no las reacciones) "San Francisco y el Lobo" la versión de estudio y la versión en vivo del 31/12/92, también te aconsejo "transformación" y "no voy a dejarte" (esta última tiene un mensaje reproduciendola alreves). La gran "Seminare" es hermosa, en versión estudio, "noche de perros" y "viernes 3am", "Jose Mercado" que esta infravalorada, pero a mi me parece que se merece mas reconocimiento. (En realidad a mi me gustan todas las de Seru😅❤)

@@retroreactions.... Thank you for that. I'm tempted to write up a list of specific suggestions for JLP, but I think that playing Cosmic Messenger was a good starting point. Back in 2017, he did a world concert tour specifically dedicated to his recordings with Atlantic. If anyone mentions "the older stuff" - this is probably what they're referring to - and Cosmic Messenger was one of the songs he played. However his music goes back to the 1960s when he worked with an acoustic violin. I was surprised to see so many people that responded knowing who he is. Every album has different music except for concert albums and collections.

​ @retroreactions.... you are right, another really interesting bit, is that the narrator's point of view as an spectator of the scene, he is in the 'máquina de mirar', and when the song had already mentioned Adan and Eve in the paradise... at the end he says that him (the narrator) is in the paradise.
