The fact you did a live version, nice! I'm 45, I put myself in the pit area, and drove to Detroit. The concert was AMAZING. Try Hypnosis, Granite, Alkaline, then High water and Telomeres. This band is Epic.

Sleep token are absolutely amazing! They have been described as the hardest band to describe. They simply don’t make bad songs.

They are very different..the second half of the song reminded me of Tool for some reason 😁🤷‍♂️

It’s kind of funny that you said “for all I know it’s just the singer and drummer” because it kind of is that way. On the studio album Vessel (the singer) plays all the instruments except for the drums. Vessel ii is the drummer. iii (bass) and iv (guitar and backing screams) join for live shows only. You should definitely give them another shot, and listen to studio versions. Their production value is top notch. If you like Tool, you’ll like Sleep Token.

The record tmbte makes all of the other records incredible for me. But the song I keep coming back to over and over more than the rest is Take Me Back To Eden, which is something because ST records are all I seem to listen to for the past four months. I don’t know why exactly this is thee song for me. But it’s refreshing every time. I think it’s the way he says the word amount in the lyric no amount of love, similarly I think the way he sings “Self sought fury” is so emotive and real. But this is the pinnacle of rock music for me. Especially since I’ve been obsessed with bands like Pink Floyd and zep and pantera and Metallica and Prince. I hope my intuitions are correct in thinking these guys have beautifully wedged themselves into the pages of music history with something we needed at this point in time. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Sleep Token is anonymous hence the masks & outfits. Every song is a completely different genre from the last; they have songs from straight piano ballads to trap/club music. I mean it when I say they do everything and cannot be classified. Amazing band in my opinion. Maybe check out some other stuff by them.

I've never seen a live version of one of their songs before. I tend to stay away from live versions of songs because the quality is so hit-and-miss...too many fan-cam/cell phone videos out there. This one has decent sound quality, but professionally recorded vids are much better. Dude has a pretty decent voice...he hits some pretty high notes there without cracking...good to hear since some bands sound great in the studio but can't pull it off live. Anyways, all that being said, I think you would have enjoyed the studio version more. The studio version of this one has 12 million views BTW...the live one, not so much haha! These guys are one of these "buzz" bands that every seems to be talking about so I'm kinda surprised that you haven't had many view yet...maybe it's taking a little while for the YooToob algorithm to add your reaction to people's suggested videos lists? Who knows. I'm not batting well with suggestions on your channel. At least Ren is getting a lot of views, right? Cheers!

I don’t like heavy metal, but this is turning me on to it. Any other bands you'd recommend? so far listening to I See Stars, bmth, and October Ends. OE have a new song as well - its called Dark and its great!

Thanks for the comment…my channel involves me commenting on what I listen to..I appreciate all music but never claim to like all music. I am just stating this music isn’t my preference. The musicians are great by the way!💪💪
